true but tbh Lakerfan would throw anyone under the bus for Kobe and Gasol was constantly on by LA in general, not surprising his effort dwindled in the end. and Chicago looked super dysfunctional the last two years and their FO is notoriously shady so I'm sure that impacted his play. he sucks on defense but he blocks shots decently and spurs can probably get the best out of him on D with their elite perimeter defenders

God I hope not
I see it the same way as you. Considering Timmy retiring we did as well as we could have hoped.
Welcome Pau!

Welcome.
Could the Spurs flip Duaw and/or Mills for another piece?
Portland and Toronto did...
I agree but he's a good rebounder and shot blocker and we need that !
A really good addition imo for the spurs, my only fear is that he stays healty all year long.
Do you work in the front office?
Nope, so shut the up.
It's no Durant to Golden State, but it's a step in the right direction.. Spurs really had no choice-- Gasol was the best available talent left to them.
And that forget that he's a really good passer for a center.

If Duncan indeed retires, San Antonio may waive and stretch legendary No. 21, reducing TD's cap hit to $2.1 mil over the next three season
98-0 if that happens
Son, nobody wants garbage.
Do we get him while keeping Boris and/or Patty?

It remains to be seen, who San Antonio sheds in trade -- or what happens with Tim Duncan -- to create the needed cap space to sign Pau Gasol
We replace the greatest PF (and a damn good C) with another HOF big, even if old. Could be a lot worst unless Pau's skills suddenly fall off a cliff.
Then let them have the taking got.
True he was offered 20 mill a season by Portland and they have a good young team too. It's not like they are lottery fodder.
, tspence was right all along...
Boris leaves and the Warriors path becomes even easier
If patty goes our already weak guard situation becomes dreadful
If that's the case then the Spurs can keep Diaw and Gasol gets the remaining capspace ($15 million). Then the Spurs have to salary dump Diaw if they want to bring Boban back.
If Pau is a team guy it allows us some flexibility next year. Do we get his whole Bird rights on a contract this short?
