Which is where Jim Buss stepped in and said "No!" That's how we got that last back-to-back.

Yeah, picking up Malone and Payton in full TOSB mode is the same as lets say, picking up Wade, and Bosh in their primes, o yeah and Ray Allen. Great logic. The Lakers TRADED for Pau, so thats a totally different story.
Malone was a 21/8/5 player the year before he contacted cancer with the lakers, and he was young enough to pick up Nessa so you are way off on that.

As for Payton, 20/4/8 player a year prior, and then hit a clutch shot to win a le 2 years LATER! Again, can't help it that he got a one year cancer.

Old and hurt Malone was full TOSB mode.
As for GP, in 2006 when they won he was averaging what like 5 points a game.

It really is an unbelievable move to say the least. Nike wanted him in GS so he could pick up some shoe sales to catch up with Curry.

Good for him. Maybe there are a lot of similarities with LeBron going to Miami. Maybe not. But the main thing I think it has in common with it is that both guys knew there would be major criticisms about their decisions but they made them anyway because they felt it would be the best situation for each of them to win their first NBA championship.

Call him all the names you want. If he wins multiple les (and it would need to be more than one to erase most of the criticisms), then I'd say it was the right move.

And Durant could have still played with Westbrook and Horford.

Where in the world is his fire and compe ive nature? Tim Duncan never wanted to join Shaq and Kobe, Larry was not playing with Magic, and Ewing and Reggie didn't say "Get me to Chicago". Instead of taking on the challenge he bows down and runs over to the best team in the west coming off the best record of all time. If he doesn't understand that makes him look like a total pussy he has too many suck ups around him sucking his bank account dry, massaging his ass. I don't ever want to hear this guy talk about being one of the best of all time. Not after this move. Win as many les as you can. They won't count in my mind..

Nope wrong move no matter what. This officially flushes any chance of going down as one of the best of all time. He refused to take on the challenge and opted for the easiest route possible. If you asked Ewing about joining Scottie and MJ he would have laughed and said "Uh no I want to beat them". He never got a ring but there is a right and wrong way to do it. Stephen A Smith said on ESPN today "There is a difference between winning a ring and being a champion". Dead on..

Yeah, he walked away from a ing stacked cast. He says he's back and OKC has a starting lineup of Westbrook/Oladipo/Beta/Horford/Adams. This is nothing like LeBron leaving Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison.

    He could and he did.

The rapist, on the other hand, landed his last playoff appearance at the ripe young age of 33.

    33!

How does it feel to finally be Pre-Pau?

Kobe had to lay down with the 0-forevers once Pau moved on.
