I can't believe Manu took the money to play for Philly. How could you want to play for a terrible team? Oh wait, that's just Argentina
hopefully they just go tour Rio for a week and then head back, tbh.... just want Manu healthy...

I thought JJ Barea was Puerto Rican? When did he start playing for ARG?
Campazzo is smaller than JJ, IMO... he's actually a top PG in Europe from what I heard...

    Today's Europe

I mean, I have always loved watching ARG national team. Outside of SA, they really have been one of the most memorable teams since I have watched basketball.

But the fact they have this same group out there today is ridiculous. It's not even fair to the players (despite the fact they like being together) that they still have the same core so many years later.

Spain, IMO, but not enough either
Spain's best chance was to pound 'em inside but Marc/Ibaka are out.

France ed up leaving Fournier off the roster b/c they need EVERY wing-player against Team USA.

I don't think France left Fournier off, did they? I think he just chose not to play.

But why is ARG wearing VISA on their jersey when they play USA? They need to quit with the subtle begging. Ain't none of them getting into 'merica

There's actually a couple of promising kids... just too young right now... this is basically a glorified retirement tour...

I'm especially happy to see Delfino out there. He's a guy that hasn't played in 3 years due to a foot injury, like 5 surgeries, etc and fought really hard to be back on a basketball court.

I mean, let's be realistic, Argentina was never very good at basketball before this generation in the prior 50+ years. Odds are we're going to drop into obscurity again. It's good to see these guys together one more time, even if it's just nostalgia.

He was cut from the final roster b/c he didn't want to play for the qualifying tournament until he signed his contract. Batum basically did the same thing & didn't play until he signed his contract.

Canada is going to be the main threat to Team USA for the 2020 Olympics.

Really hope this is the Manu we see next year. A spot up shooter tbh, I'll be happy with that. Gotta let Simms and Bertans handle the ball
    Manu outplayed Klay/Jimmy Butler/DeFrozen.

Manu did look really good, especially when you consider he's 38 and was ready to retire 2 years ago. He looks in really good shape.

This Argentine team makes this past season's Spurs team look like a bunch of NCAA freshmen. I think Manu might be one of the youngest guys in the roster.

Still, I guess it's cool they want to give it one more shot in a glorified farewell tour. Argentine basketball may never get to world class status again as soccer will always get their best athletes. At least Manu has won for his country unlike one particular Argentine soccer player who quit like a coward.

Yes, them. They are really young right now but in four to eight years, if they reach their potential, they should be elite and contending.

Jamal Murray might be Kyrie Irving 2.0 by the time 2020 rolls around. Canada is basically the Timberwolves of international hoops, lots of athletic young talent.

Manu is aging like Kidd who was effective as 39 year of backup SG except in the playoffs.

Hopefully we see some young legs this time. JSimms or Dejounte needs to show up.

Dangubic did not make the final roster for Serbia:

Oh well, would have been nice to see him match up against NBA players.
