Every time that I heard about calf injuries and veteran bigs...

Yugos.. why are they so good?
Funny thing is, Serbia is about to go silver again, after being eliminated in the Euro tourney. So they went ahead and made puree out of Puerto Rico in the qualifying tourney, you know, so people don't forget they still got it.
- Honestly using "just" is a problem for me when I write. I literally re-read all of my e-mails to edit out a few just' every single time.
Don't know why it happens and it's a relatively newer phenomenon to me.
For me, it's not just 'just'. I have a habit of using the same word or phrase in the same paragraph. Sometimes it's 'just'; other times it's 'essentially' or 'simply' or 'it's clear that'.
Essentially, it's simply clear that you just need a thesaurus.![]()
For me it's about tone - particularly in e-mails. I am conscious of how e-mails can come off, especially from someone in my position (which is usually the person having to direct traffic). So I tend to do it to soften the message some, but it shocks me when I re-read my e-mails how often I slide it in there.
For example - when I have asked for something and that person has not done it yet (and it was stated when to be done and agreed to as reasonable time to accomplish the task).
I will say: "Just following up to see how things are progressing, etc.." Vs "Following up to see how things are progressing"
The more you think about it and are conscious of it, the stranger it seems to me.
I donīt think so, i think the medals will go to USA, Aus and Spain
You're probably right, though it seems it could be anyone (USA aside).
Ditto. I read some article about making your communications more professional, and one of the suggestions was to remove all "justs".
However, I find when I do that, I feel like I'm just coming across like a .
Especially for a male. We can already been seen as aggressive sometimes (right or wrong) so I feel it does soften things - but don't want to go to far so I get what that article was probably saying.
However, for me, it's a line between being professional and relationships. My field requires you to build relationships and cater sometimes to feelings, so I don't mind coming across as more casual (since that is my intent).
Dpg a casual lil .![]()
You're an engineer who barely speaks English. Glass houses y'all
This is true. I am an attorney and have an aggressive bull dog style in the court room which is pretty much contrary to my personality off the clock. The aggressive nature of my professional style has carried over into my personal life on how people generally perceive me. I get the "he is an asshole or " alot because of it. I need to soften up my approach a bit.
go spain tbh. too bad they don't have marc. they don't have serge either.
pau: 4 for 6, 12 points after the 1st quarter.
