They also could've released him because he found a job somewhere else. I doubt they would've been so keen to cut him otherwise unless he was a real headcase.
The dream is over......

I heard he has a deal with a team in the Kyrgyzstan B league
I hear they were really impressed with his play with the International Elites on ESPN 2.
+1 It is a reasonable assumption that he has a training camp slot or job elsewhere, otherwise there's not much point in waiving him after two days. The Spurs are not pointlessly cruel, and they are willing to help guys out when it doesn't affect the team.
Bonbon time.
hmmm A lot of things went through my head. The first is that he's a real headcase, cancer and was the guy that injured Danny's hammy! (lol not really, but the headcase issue did cross my mind). I suppose it makes sense that he saw the writing on the wall that he's not making this team and his agent found him a contract elsewhere.
But maybe they really thought they are better served by having TD help others at this point. Is that possible?
That was quick, but at least he got a photo with the Spurs uniform:

There are 20 slots in training camp that requires the attention of the coaches. I figure they quickly realize that that he was wasting the coaches time and they let him go.
Maybe they bring in Bonbon back, an extra player coach wouldn't hurt.
They could`ve invite me to camp. Never been to US, my guess I am as close to be NBA player as Ryan Richards is.
Ah, yes, the Ryan Richards era, I'll remember it well years from now...
something tells me he's a real headcase. or just a real lazy ass.
I'm still fond of telling the ofice young'uns about H-O-R-S-E Champion Blake Ahearn
Like I said from 2012 post

Can't find Duncan

I was on his bandwagon until he wasn't on the 2015 summer league roster.
Yeah, he is just lacking in some basic fundamentals of basketball, plus he has seldom, if ever, blended well on any team he's played for.
It must be the reason. He has the body and skillset to at least find a shot somewhere...Odd because he came off like such a good guy in all his workout interviews...I don't know. Maybe he is just this bad.
Spurs bringing him in this year was just them doing their due diligence again. They had to give him at least a final look before completely cutting ties with him. We already knew he wasn't much of a player for a long time now....
He's THAT guy on the rec league team.
They could always bring back Matt Bonner to fill the void.
