If we're going off purely facts, the stats say they won't win a playoff game with a Big 12 QB starting. I only say that because it's NEVER been done
I'd say they have the formula down for contention this year tbh.... the defense is stacked and Bradford has fit in perfectly
WE ing stacked.

Looking at their schedule.....13-3?
Can they go into Seattle/GB/Philly and beat them there in the playoffs, I doubt it. Can they beat those teams at home, maybe.
Yep, contenders.
They have a defense that will keep them in the conversation With the Panthers and the Cardinals struggling to find their footing, they're probably up there with the Seahawks as the top teams in the NFC after week 4. The Panthers and Cardinals will probably right the ship eventually. Do either of those teams make the playoffs? It's certainly a possibility. The one factor the Vikings really have to improve on is the replacement of AP. Asiata and McKinnnion are going to need to be a little more productive. I think, at one point, they're going to have to win a shootout. Would you have that supreme faith in Sam Bradford if that's the case? They're an intriguing team to say the least.
how many teams do you have? Anyway no, they aren't. There are only two contending teams, the broncos and the patriots, the rest are pretenders.
Are you referring to me? They're not my team, idiot. I was merely giving them praise for their 4-0 start. They have questions. It's also funny that you mention the two AFC teams. At this point, the Broncos are the only one looking legit at the moment. There is still plenty to go. Don't go crowing after 1/4 of the season.
why would you assume i was talking with you?
My mistake if you weren't. I saw you respond after me. Carry on.
Like 12-4
Losses at Eagles, at Redskins, vs Cowboys, at Packers
This isn't the NBA. Anyone to makes the playoffs is a contender in the NFL. Multiple wildcard teams have won les.
Yes they're easily contenders up to this point. Only the Eagles have been better in the NFC.
This, I don't trust them until I see Bradford do well in the playoffs.
Theyre also not built to play from behind at all with an oline that's mediocre at pass blocking and an offense that's not designed to score quick points.
That's a joke, right? Teams like the Bengals, Texans and Chiefs can make the playoffs all they want, but they still aren't contenders.
Wouldn't stop any of those teams from knocking off a "chosen" team before suc bing to fate, though.
Agreed. Ravens were the 4th seed in 2012-13 and arguably the worst AFC playoff team going into January. Then, you know what happened.
Horrible example. Ravens had pedigree and were a well-established team (5 playoff wins and 2 AFC le game appearances the previous 4 years). Didn't hurt that their QB was great in the playoffs. Sam Bradford has never been in the playoffs, and in his only meaningful game he got outplayed by Charlie Whitehurst.
Broncos last year proved that you can win without a QB.
the question is if the vikes defense can take over to the same degrees the broncos did. vikes have a shutdown D, but they still lack that von miller playmaking presence. their best playmaker might be terrance newman. but bradford is playing better than any broncos qb last year, so there's that offset
We shall see we shall see.
Everyone wanted the Vikings to play the Broncos in 99 for the Super Bowl, then the choke job occurred and the Broncos steam rolled the Falcons. This is the year that the matchup takes place....book it!
Way too early to tell, tbh..
It'll be interesting to see how Minnesota does once the turnovers regress to the mean..they are currently +10 in the turnover category in only 4 games..there's virtually no chance that they will even approach that projected pace later in the season..it's quite possible that they will regress into just an above average team once the turnovers normalize..
Last year's Broncos weren't just great, defensively, they were historic..they had a -4 turnover differential during the RS![]()
Yeah the TO stat is what concerns me... +10 is running way above average...
Still, 12-4 IMHO FWIW stacked
Any team led by Sam Bradford can't be taken seriously.
Noodle Arm Manning won a ring last year.
The OP has a Carolina background. Pretty sure he forfeits the right to call them "my Vikings."
