They're clearly a Top 5 NFL offense, their defense is actually decent enough this year, and their strength of victory is incredible already... thus far they own the sole loss of two fellow 4-1 teams with a painful opening day division loss against the lowly Bucs... it's not like last year where they were beating cupcakes early on while the schedule caught up with them.

... and it's only going to shoot up more once the Panthers get good again and eventually dink and dunk their way into an 11 win season... their schedule is otherwise too easy so it's hard to see Carolina not being a double digit win team. I think the North, South, and East will each have two strong teams including a wild card contender (10-11 wins) while one will obviously be left out.

Falcons SHOULD be a playoff team, if it comes down to second and third tiebreakers between conference teams at say, 10-6, 11-5 to claim a playoff berth... the Falcons should almost assuredly get in on strength of victory, but we have a lot of football to play.

Still, I'm very impressed... who the just strolls up the 5,280 foot ladder into Pothead City and grabs a relatively easy win? Julio is amazing, and Ryan's decision making has been excellent thus far.

In 2015 the Falcons did the same thing actually even better. They were 6-1 after seven games. Then.....lost the next six.

    So...???????

One of the hardest "spots" in football is back to back on the road, especially vs a team coming off a bye week which the Seahawks are. They won't be facing a second string QB this Sunday, either.

Well I'll be damn, who is the worst team in the NFL coming off a bye, yep, Seahawks at 9-20.

The Eagles are the best at 22-6, (Denver 22-7)

You're a piece of that has just killed any chances the Falcons had, tbh...

Mark this day as the day before the collapse...

Those stats are mostly taken from previous generations of players and mean zilch my friend.
The Browns and Lions have been around how long? TONS...of different players, so how come neither franchise has ever played in a Superbowl? How come the Niners, Steelers, Pats and Cowboys have won how many SB's as a group? And there were TONS of different players involved.

Sorry my friend but yes "franchises" do have tendancies and trends. Some teams can't win on the road and it doesn't matter who is on the team, some are great at home and have been for ages.

The Chargers have been around as long as the Raiders, so why do the Raiders have three SB wins and the Chargers none? TONS...of different Chargers over the years.

The Packers won with Bart Starr, Bret Favre and Aaron Rodgers, a lot of different players involved. The Bears have been around since day one of the NFL, they only have...one...SB win.

The Browns have lost 10 season openers the last 10 seasons, TONS of different players. The Pats are 9-1 in season openers the last 10 years.

In the month of December since 1990 the Pats 74-34, the best in the NFL, Browns 17-56....need I go on?

His post was a necessary evil. He can't contain himself. He gets so excited after a few games and just es on himself everywhere. Pretty sad and funny at the same time.

Losing to an established perennial SB contender in the hardest road venue to play in in the world won't mark a "collapse"...

But if you lose the following home game to the ass Chargers then yeah, you're in trouble... but you won't.

Not my team, but I'm pretty pissed off about today's game... they really got hosed in an enormous way... Dan Quinn was screaming but he should have decked that ref and knocked him out cold...

How many home wins by Seattle have been strictly due to the referees?

Ya don't win over 11 games the last four seasons and are at 4-1 this seasons because of the refs.

Now the Seahawks are 9-21 ATS off a bye week. They suck in this "spot".

I think Atlanta is better than last year, despite being one game behind last year's clip at this point last year. Their offense is something special and they really should have won the two they lost.

I already said earlier last week that the Falcons would lose in Seattle... didn't even think they would be as compe ive as they were.

If the refs had called the game fairly the Falcons would have a great chance to be 5-1 because where Julio was would have put them well in FG range.

I'm never picking the Panthers again this season. Well, maybe a couple games, but that's it. They suck.

I'm impressed by how soft and weak their defense is. Even when they sacked Rivers a few times down the stretch, I had no fear of them stopping us. I knew they'd just give up a 3rd or 4th down.
