Yeah, let's let Simmons go to Austin again so he can... what? You tell me.
Agreed. Cut all of them
Yeah, let's let Simmons go to Austin again so he can... what? You tell me.
Grab em by the Lapussy
That won't free up roster spots. Simmons & LJC are on the team unless traded or waived. If waived Spurs would have to eat their salary.
Forbes over Simmons, no doubt. Zero Doubt.
Forbes will never play in the NBA ing idiots
Enter Xis Bosh.
Also another ty game for Anderson....
He won't do it every possession. He'll take the same shots he took last year but he'll take the contact instead of avoiding it when it's there. I'm not sure why you think he's suddenly going to turn into Ricky Davis.![]()
So you like Simmons over Forbes for this team. Good to know and remember...
have you seen Patty Mills?
Bosh wasn't one I was referring to.
So he can not take up a roster spot. Asked and answered. Back to trading him, Jean Charles and a half a mil for the conditional second rounder.
Man... Anderson. The guy that just can't get out his own way. I'm 40 games from saying "Execution, no less".
Hopefully, he shows enough flashes to have trade value so he could be packaged w/ Kyle to a desperate team like the Bucks who could cough up a protected 1st rd pick.
Tbh, Bertans/JLC have been more impressive than Fathead & what the team really needs is a backup perimeter defender who can play the CoJo role b/c Manu/Patty are essentially traffic cones. Lee can pass so Kyle best asset is still a luxury just like it was when Diaw was on the roster. Bertans is also a better fit w/ Lee/Dedman.
If PATFO package Simmons/Fathead for MCW+1st rd pick, it would open up an extra roster spot to sign someone like Forbes.
Pau/Dedman
LMA/Lee/JLC
Kawhi/Bertans/MCW
Danny/Manu/MCW/Forbes
Tony/Patty/Leprosy/Murray
MCW can defend 1s/2s & some 3s so Pop can rotate him based on the matchups. Offensive he should be fine playing in a lineup that has multiple shooters such as: Pau/LMA/Kawhi/Patty, he can actually be the primary ball handler if Patty is the other guard.

I never said that. I said Forbes will never play in the NBA.
If you want to take make it official, I will bet you that Forbes never starts more than 50 games in an NBA season ever in his life. If you win, I will stop posting in the Spurs forum. If you lose, you have to suck my .
Yeah, I have. I've been a Spurs fan longer than you've been alive. So, with that experience, I can tell you Forbes will never make an NBA roster.
If you'd like to place wager on that, name your terms.
I can't tell if you're just attempting to be antagonistic and edgy, of if you're just the stupidest basketball poster I've ever seen. Seriously, you make ducks look like the president of Mensa. If you have to do this to get attention, and you've chosen a message board for an unpopular NBA team in the preseason, then you seriously need to go out and meet people.
Livo had a really good game today (for his standards). It's really too bad about his injury, because without it, he'd be a really intriguing defensive prospect. His IQ is beginning to show as he gets more comfortable with the Spurs' system. He looked like he knew where he should be at all times, but sometimes his body wasn't agile enough to get there. Dude's going to have to develop some skills in the d-league to make up for the loss of athleticism, but there's definitely hope.
Anderson and Simmons are not the answers the bench needs.
After watching 4 preseason games, I prefer the Spurs ride Bertans at the back up SF.
I know Bertans played PF tonight, like Anderson, but once Aldridge gets back, those minutes will be Mr. Lee's.
I'd rather have any of the preseason prospects over both Simmons and Anderson at this point.
I feel a damned sight better about Kyle than I have after any other preseason game. His inefficiency is fine. He took a lot of shots, and that's what matters. , he should have taken even more than that. Definitely playing with Bertans helps him have the room he needs to operate, and I guess he knew that because he stopped deferring once the Spurs went with that lineup.
I don't know what the you're trying to say with all this guarded language.
Are you saying Bryn Forbes is an NBA stalwart? Will he make the Spurs roster this year? Will he ever make any roster on a multi-year deal?
Word. Strong. I bet with my head, not with my , brother. So no go, bud. I appreciate your aggressiveness on this though. Good stuff. I would not be happy approaching a poker table and seeing you sitting down, with a buttload of chips.
There's actually a difference in the way the rights work depending on which one they do. MaNu4Tres pointed that out about a month ago.
