we're still losing this game, btw... it's not good for league business...

but exciting to see the bench clicking, tbh
I really hope this isn't true.

10 FT for Kawhi - Just amazing

Never would have thought LMA was 50% from the field. He has the biggest room for improvement too IMO. He didn't handle pressure well, didn't make good decisions (when to pass or shoot) and missed some really good looks. He knows how they are going to play him now. He knows they are going to collapse when he's in the paint. He has to be ready to be aggressive and smart.

Pau got to the same exact spots Tim did - his shot looked solid but he rimmed out a few. I would like him to be a little more assertive when certain players on him (story of his career ).

Great jolt from the bench and stark contrast in energy and style from the starters. Pop will have to find the right combo for when Kyle come out. Manu with the starters didn't look great, Simmons may be a great option.

Defense obviously wasn't great, but it was not terrible. This is a tough, tough game for a new team with the level of talent, shooting and switching being asked of them. Have to learn from it, communicate, and play the odds (running shooters off the 3pT line). Can't foul them though when it's time to rotate/scramble.

TO will be death against GS, especially with LMA/Gasol on the floor . It's literally impossible for them to get back if SA turns it over. Control the pace, value the ball and you will have a chance on defense (then don't lose focus on killing them on the glass: 30 to 17 advantage !!!)

    Kawhi 10 FT wow... Respect.

It was obvious in preseason that Kawhi has been working on forcing the action and drawing fouls. That's going to take his offensive game up a serious notch. MVP candidates almost always get a load of freebies. If he can start getting to the line like this consistently, he really will contend for league MVP.

Yeah, I was surprised when I saw that stat.
It's gonna be a good year for Kawhi if he can keep that up. He had a bad first half and has 18 points. That's from getting to the line.

Defended Curry better than any of the other bigs as well.
That's the key. His ability to get caught on the perimeter and still have a prayer is MASSIVE.

Gasol just doesn't seem to gel in a Spurs jersey so far.

People ting on TP, per usual (despite 2014 doesn't happen without him). To actually be objective, he has just sort of been there/neutral.

I want to see him attack a little more and move better off the ball. Patty is showing great improvement there, and his shot appears to not be broken anymore. That is the real criticism for TP tonight -- don't just pass off and clear out, move like Bellinelli.
Not TP hating here, but I do wonder, though, if with three midrange dominant players upfront in the starting unit whether it wouldn't make sense to start Mills and have TP lead the second unit. Starters could use the three point shooting as opposed to another paint dominant player, while the bench could benefit from another playmaker not named Kyle Anderson.

LOL. Yeah, who could have seen that coming? Add Kevin Durant? No big deal. There should still be plenty of shots for everyone.

Pop is going to need to move the lineups around. There are two groups, one looks like last year's jump shot team and the other looks like the 14 le team. You really want this kind of motion all the time.
