Wat
Belichick wanted to up the degree of difficulty to make the season interesting?
It`s compensatory pick. WTF
They wouldn't trade anyone they needed. Typical Pats move. They probably found a young cheap guy they can fit in without losing any production... great move Belichick IMO.
the window is right beside me................................................ .................................................. .................................................. .......................................
The spin in Boston is that Collins freelanced and deviated from the gameplan too much for Bill's liking. That for every big play he makes, he gives up a big play due to lack of discipline. Either way only a 3rd rounder for him is crazy.
They basically got a late second round pick for him lol.
Chandler Jones made sense. He was a world class stat padder who became invisible during the playoffs.
This one doesn't make much sense to me. Collins was big during their superbowl run and he's the only LB they have with semi-decent athleticism.
Never doubt Belichick, tbh..
People say this even though he's probably ed up more first/second round picks in the last ten years than any other coach or GM.
thats like saying never doubt pop when he gives heavy minutes to parker, plays anderson/bonner, etc
Apparently Elandon Roberts (6th round pick last year) is a big reason why they felt comfortable trading Collins. We'll see about that.
Like ylab1 said, they could have at least gotten more than a 3rd rounder.
Cleveland needs more picks now I see. So we give them a good handful and Romo and Mcfadden for their #1 pick in 2017.
They are missing more pieces than QB to be even playoff team.
I mean seriously, this is bull . Just a 3rd rounder for a guy who thinks he can be paid as much as Kuechly or Von Miller? At the very least have Cleveland toss in Josh Gordon to see if there's anything to salvage there. Straight up Collins for Joe Thomas how about. A conditional 3rd rounder is Belichick making a statement to Jamie Collins about how little he respects him tbh, to trade him to the worst team in football for peanuts. And that's just ing stupid.
Just look at all his failed DB draft picks. His best pickup was an undrafted FA that a scout had to beg him to give a chance at training camp.
