Why do Tootsie rolls, I mean specifically, TOOTSIE ROLLS, always like 35-40% of the entire bag of candy?
So I ran around quite a few neighborhoods tonight and managed to fill a black Hefty bag almost clear full... I have a beer with a friend and am reaching into the bag, and literally every other candy I pull out is a ing tootsie roll. But this has ALWAYS been the case. You'd think they'd be more imaginative in this day and age?! Not to be a complainer, because free candy is free candy, but you'd think the candy would have largely changed since I first trick-or-treated in 1998 at age 4... but nope, it's still mostly the exact same candy... meh.
On the bright side I did haul in a BBQ chicharrones, a Cheez-Its bag and a Bud Light (guy gave a choice of beer or candy for over-21 trick-or-treaters, since we make up only around 10-15% of the trick or treating population, if I had to guess). Also a little hand stress toy in the shape of a football, something to throw around work tomorrow. Other than the fact it was kind of warm and my costume made me sweat a bit, not a bad night after a bad day at work.
Any 2016 Halloween experiences for you guys?
