    Not necessarily.

It wasn't even 100 years ago when the populist/progressive wing of the country was religious (William Jennings Bryan for instance was an adamant supporter of teaching creationism in school). There's no reason that couldnt come back.
People (especially the young) are becoming less and less religious. Surprising to me that most of my ds class is atheist when their parents' are mostly from South America and probably Catholic.

There is no way Feminist Democrats would follow the party into pro-life evangelism.

The Democrats are moving so far left at this point that Stalin and Mao look like Rush Limbaugh by comparison. There's no ing way that a pro-life candidate will ever be allowed anywhere near the Democrats' nomination.

ok, let me analyse this statement...DMC seems like a white guy who loves to fish, as I remember some fishing related avatar from some time back. He is doing a satire of some sorts, "mo money" is clue pointing to mainly deep voiced and typically obese middle aged american blacks. But it can be applicable to anyone who has earthy tones, as I understand that americans are pretty fat. Fk christians, yeah right them, the right wing, yeah sometimes, cut my tax, absolutely agreeable, mo money mo money...well that's the working class americans' capitalistic tendencies. I've heard USA is a land of opportunities.
    Mo mu in money

    so?

What's far left about their informal platform, policies, which must be wonderful for the 99% because the VRWC/Repugs/Trash intend to destroy anything Barry has done that Liz and Bernie support, eg, bank reserves, forcing financial advisers to work for their clients instead of screwing their clients, financial regulation, CFPB, etc, etc.

Now that you mention it I could easily see someone like Cornell West running 4 years from now.
It's gonna be either Bernie-Warren or Booker-Castro, IMO...

i doubt bernie runs in 4 years... but who knows, maybe by then warren would try to run herself

warren-booker ticket would be pretty solid imho. give sanders a cabinet spot as a retirement gift (although he's arguably better off in the senate). bernie bros will get behind warren pretty easily without having to deal with the socialism boogeyman buzzword during the generals

warren's annihilation of john stumpf was pretty awesome and could be her own personal launching point and a sign of her willingness to take on wall street, etc

That's a horrifying thought. Who do they even have who could be that? Are they going to nominate Creflo Dollar or some ?
They should nominate a devout Muslim guy, tbh. That way they win both the social right wing vote and the liberal "tolerance" vote. Unbeatable coalition, tbh

So much hate this Trump has. *sarcasm* Yet the media will continue to accuse him of all sorts of things. Unless you are an illegal alien or radical Islamic terrorist, you will be treated with respect in Trump's America.

Almost anyone liberal looks to the left of Hillary. She was more hawkish than some neocons.

If Bernie were 4 years younger he would run, but 79 is just too old. I suppose Trump is no spring chicken either but he comes across as energetic and younger (maybe it's just his immaturity though, who knows).

It would be hilarious if the health checkup showed him to be taking 10 subscription pills daily, CVD disease, kidney disease, pre-diabetic or diabetc, etc, etc. Of course, he will bribe the docs to hide his diseases, drugs.

They voted for him after he showed his support for transgender rights on the campaign trail, referred to gay marriage as a "settled issue" that conservatives need to move on from, invited an openly gay man (Peter Thiel) to speak at the convention, and held up the rainbow flag on stage at one of his rallies. A gay cabinet member won't suddenly make them regret their choice after all of that.

Trump threw the Jeebo s a bone by making Pence his VP, but that's all they're getting. They have nowhere near as much clout in the GOP as they used to.
Eh, I think they still have more clout than you think, but that's not the point.

The point is that it's funny why they voted for a Republican Trump when anyone with a half brain realizes he's nothing more than a pandering non partisan troll

As long as he picks SC justices from the lists he put out, they'll be satisfied - think long term/lasting. And he's been strong on the abortion issue - not that Roe vs Wade will ever be overturned. For me, gotta win first - then worry about how much he gets done.

Castro made a huge strategic mistake leaving San Antonio for Housing Secretary. Now he is going to have to come back and rebuild his base and eventually run for Senator.

Because they feel that any Republican in office is better for them than any Democrat would be, even if said Republican doesn't actively push their agenda. They also voted for a Mormon in 2012, tbh, so it's not like this is anything new.
