TIFWIW, but Scout says Major Applewhite will not be the new OC.
Well what we had with Traylor was a great recruiter that was it basically it am I right? If he was in charge of special teams and special teams were terrible maybe that's why Herman sees him as despensable. If he can get McGuire and he's a better X' and O's guy than its an upgrade because I have no doubt McGuire would be just as good in recruiting.
TIFWIW, but Scout says Major Applewhite will not be the new OC.
I was hoping for a recruiting dream team with Wyatt, Traylor, and Brewster. Oh well.
No surprise. That dudes wife must hate his guts.
Herman has landed. Press conference at 5 today on LHN or texassports.com.
More staff members are in, per OrangeBloods.
Herman has brought over Corby Meekins (TEs), Oscar Giles (DEs) and Jason Washington (DBs).
So near as I can tell. We don't have an OC or a DC. We still need a LB coach, a DT coach, a QB coach, a oline coach a RB coach and a ST coach.
Are we keeping anyone from the current staff?
I say we money whip the dude from LSU, offer him 2 mil to join the staff. That will also keep him on staff for a long time scaring away smaller schools from offering him a head coaching gig.
TIFWIW, Higs is saying Aranda will be the next D.C. Aranda is the current D.C. At LSU.
So according to the pay sites, this is the staff (per the rumors):
Head Coach: Tom Herman, Houston
Offensive Coordinator:
Quarterbacks Coach:
Runningbacks Coach: Corby Meekins, Houston
Wide Receivers Coach:
Tight Ends Coach: Tim Brewster, Florida State
Offensive Line Coach: Derek Warehime, Houston
Defensive Coordinator: Dave Aranda, LSU
Defensive Line Coach: Oscar Giles, Houston
Linebackers Coach: Dave Aranda, LSU
Cornerbacks Coach: Jason Washington, Houston
Safeties Coach: Craig Naivar, Houston
Special Teams Coordinator: Craig Naivar, Houston
Director of Player Personnel: Derek Chang, Houston
Strength Coach: Yancy McKnight, Houston
FSU's 24/7 site is pretty much conceding Tim Brewster to Texas at this point.
I'll be honest, I've taken about 90% of the foundation of the program from Urban—conditioning, class schedules and structure of the program.
Oh . Please not a guy that picks the basketweaving major for his football team.
And winners get the hot wife....
From Talledega Nights, okay, but actually given at the Houston commencement. It's UH I tell myself.
Im gonna pretend that I like this guy because he does seem hardworking and driven. And he is not Nick Saban or Jim Harbaugh in being a whiny that wins. I'm telling myself I can like this guy. I'm not sure why I should care.
Inside Texas saying the same on Major.
Aranda has re-signed with LSU.
24/7 confirmed Herman doesn't plan on retaining any of Strong's assistants.
