Thanks for the grades. I'm really glad you articulated what I felt about LMA's play tonight. Great way to start the comments about him with "What's wrong with this guy?" At one point I noticed a board that he was going for with a smaller player. He wasn't about to get down on the ground and fight for the ball and that pretty much told the story on his play tonight. I dismissed all the talk about him on ST and the 'trouble in paradise' scenario, but.....I don't know?

    Kawhi Leonard: C
He had 24 9 5. The stat line may be nice and he may have been the only bright spot this game, but he was still pretty underwhelming at some points. His shot was just off. And he wasn’t able to take advantage of Austin rivers guarding him in the 4th. He had some nice assists though, and missed assists due to his teammates missing open shots but overall, I just can’t grade him any higher. This was far from a decent Kawhi outing.
Kawhi tried posting up Rivers but when he tried to attack the rim, the defense would just collapse on him b/c the spacing was so ty. Doc Rivers basically has one of his bigs essentially spying on Kawhi & they essentially clog up the driving lanes when he tries to drive. The only solution is Softridge/Pau stretching out to the 3 point line or Kawhi jacking up contested mid-range jumpers.

This is essentially what Doc Rivers did to Lebron when he was in Boston w/ KG being the one spying on him. Bosh stretching the floor & KG deteriorating basically put an end to it.

Yeah but we have seen what Kawhi can do with smaller men guarding him. On another night, he could’ve just faced up and shot the J straight up, he tried, but he clanked em.

Another abortion game. It will be a surprise the next time the Spurs beat the Clips whereever and whenever that may be.

Lamarcus sucks. Can't believe it. Always wanted this kick-ass guy and couldn't believe our good fortune when Spurs landed him. And now look how pathetic, weak, and anemic he has become. It's un-spurs-like but I think he could get traded. I don't think Pop likes him.

His jumper was off so he tried to do the RIGHT thing & drive but his coach didn't oblige. Just because he's being guarded by a smaller guy, his jumper isn't suddenly going to start falling. (Softridge shooting jumpers against Pierce was pitiful)

The power move for the and1 laid on pierce was exactly what was needed by LA in the first. The refs oddly reversed it after the replay room notified them? I was hoping LA would respond in a fired up way but instead seem to check out.

That was truly soft. Pop deservingly benched him.

Duncan's product getting owned by Doc Rivers per par

Seems like Patty boy misses Ginobili a lot, which is not a big surprise. Spurs should be careful about his new contract, especially with Manu retiring.
That´s why i think we should trade him now along with whatever fillers we might send.
