He should be fired for starting Assweiler instead of Savage, and Rick Smith should be fired for paying Assweiler like he's a franchise QB. It's amazing how they managed to find someone worse than Hoyer, Weeden, Keenum or zpatrick, while paying a ton more money for it.

My personal theory is that Obrien was told from higher up that he needs to play assweiler....I doubt that was a complete coaching decision

Texans had a decent running game. However on drive sustaining (or not) 3rd and Doable (3rd and 4, 3rd and 3) Obrien would line up in the shotgun and announce it was a pass play. Ditto on the run plays. Got to the point where Shotgun = Pass, Assy behind Center = Run.
1b. When Assy was in shotgun, it's like dude after you receive ball you have like 2 seconds max to do something. Either pass, throw it away, or run. Do 1 of the damn 3. So many plays where Assy held the ball too long. Also Obrien/Playcaller having no bail receiver to dump it off to.
Ballgame. Sad cause that Texan D rocked for much of the game.
Thru all that crap Assy delivers two perfectly thrown would-be touchdown lobs that Texan receivers drop.
