Why in so soon FWD? I thought you'd be busy sending flowers to Aaron Hernandez and working on his appeal. Woops better make that appeal(s).
I thought Hernandez's appeals were already over. I can't imagine that there's any real chance that he'll get a new trial and the system will have worked.

Ok if by "due process" you mean the most important thing to defense liars who try to spring guilties.....that being who will be paying them.....the Patriots are picking up the bill for this punk.
I'll be fascinated to see some actual proof that the Patriots are paying for this fool's legal defense -- something beyond your "certainty" that such a thing has happened.

When ever you're ready to discuss the facts of the case.
The facts of the case are that some yahoo Patriots fan got drunk and went to the Steelers hotel, where he pulled the fire alarm when there was no fire. He seems to have copped to it, though he's insisted (for now) that the accusation be proven in Court, as is his right.

He's clearly violated the law -- Massachusetts law provides that "Whoever, without reasonable cause, by outcry or the ringing of bells, or otherwise, makes or circulates or causes to be made or circulated a false alarm of fire shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction for not more than one year."

The statute doesn't recognize a difference in the culpable mental state of the actor -- it's a strict liability crime, other than some argument that he had a reasonable belief that there was an actual fire (which he won't be able to prove) -- so the fact that he was drunk will be irrelevant.

Frankly, I hope he's convicted or pleads guilty, and that he's given a significant punishment within the limits of the statute.

The last i read (6 months ago), Hernandez had met with infamous Casey Anthony atty Jose Baez to see if Baez could spring him on appeal. Not sure if that Satanic union produced anything or if the appeal from the Lloyd murder has ended.

I used my Kons ushonal Wright to facetiously state that the Pats are footing the bill for Pats the Alarm Puller. Would not surprise me if they are, but at this time no proof. Pats the Alarm Puller seems like he could well be a Laundry Krew member.
