It did sound fishy as back then, tbh, but I'll take your and DOK's word for it. I have no beef, I don't really follow the NFL...
It was largely Goodell trying to win approval in the court of public opinion. There was still a lot of backlash for how he handled Ray Rice, so he saw an easy way to win some fan approval by coming down on the most hated team in the NFL.

Say what you want about Goodell, his approach to discipline is still a lot better than the NCAA's. Those spineless turds do nothing while Penn State and Baylor turn themselves into rape factories, Louisville blurs the line between recruiting and pros ution, and UNC embroils itself in one of the biggest academic cheating scandals in recent memory.

Having a better discipline system than the NCAA is basically being the best looking horse at the glue factory.

his discipline system is simply to react to public opinion. Ray Rice gets only 2 games for decking his fiancé, then after Hilary horse face Swank does a series of domestic violence commercials that get everyone hot and bothered, he goes off the deep end and destroys Rice's career.

I'm surprised Scarlett Johanssen thought you were trying to rape her, instead of warning her about the perils of the Internet
    tbh

At least Goodell listens to public opinion. The NCAA is too paralyzed with fear of the big-money schools splitting away from them to do anything, even when every fan of college sports and the media are all demanding action. Or even worse, they'll do their routine of slapping a big-money school on the wrist and then revoking the sanctions once the story dies down.

If the NCAA had any balls, they'd call the P5's bluff on this Baylor thing. They'd shut down the program and dare the P5 to leave - knowing full well that if any of them did, people would start to wonder how many rapes they're covering up.

We're relitigating deflategate now? I probably hate the Patriots more than most people, but the score of that game was 45-7.

Considering Brady, Belichick and Kraft are all Trumpettes, will we read "Rigged!" from a POTUS tweet again, tbh?

And on top of that, it was the running game that dominated Indy, while the one interception Brady threw was with the deflated ball that supposedly gave him a huge advantage

Celebrities destroy old cell phones on a regular basis, they don't want old text messages/photos being released. He released the full transcript of text messages on his cell phone and they couldn't find .

Your gif isn't exactly what anyone would classify as hard evidence.

The Colts game is irrelevant to me. That was a beatdown and Andrew Luck sucks.

The thing that really stings me is the Ravens didn't get an interception in the previous round game and that game was a complete nail biter and an offensive shootout. Those balls were also likely deflated but we'll never know, if they didn't cheat perhaps SB 49 would have been "Battle of the Birds", with the Seahawks likely winning back-to-back.

Notice how the boxscore says Brady did indeed throw an interception to the Ravens? More alternative facts from the deflategate re s, per usual.

What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B are total winners. Wow!

I really don't like the Pats, especially when the Spurs are used as a comparison.

    But damn...

That is a fantastic QB, coach and team. The greatness is recognized and valid.
Brady getting beat up by the Falcons and has the guts to believe the Oline will come through. The guy does not get happy feet, he just hangs tough, channels his fury, throws strikes, gets some luck, and wins.

Great game even though the "bad guys" won.
