This team is on pace for 64 wins and their fans think they're boring. smh
This team is definitely a little boring, Spurs have always won a lot of games but that doesn't mean it's exciting. It's just a hard to rally around the team this season because they're incredibly frustrating but considering their record and that there is no Tim Duncan anymore you'll have to take it.

It's mostly due to the cord-cutting wave honestly.
    I'm included in this.

In addition to cord cutting, as part of the new tv deal the league also staggered there marquee games to be toward the end of the season.

In other words, more Orlando-Sacramento type games in the early going, and more Spurs-Warriors type games toward the end. The former makes for ty viewing, which is the bulk of what the fox survey is probably working with.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports that a faulty encoder was the culprit that explained why the team's ratings dropped despite the team's strong overall performance.

The Spurs' ratings originally were reported at a 5.11 record last month. FSSW officials told the SABJ that ratings actually should have been slightly above 7.00, which would have placed the team second in the league, behind only Golden State's 8.54. San Antonio's ratings at a similar point in 2015-2016 were at 8.99 for FSSW games, which would have meant the franchise's ratings still would have skidded about 20 percent from last season.
