The AG needs to sign off on it, but I'm sure the AG will go along with what his boss says, but that's not the point. The statute makes clear that it only applies to exclusively foreign communications

But not in any manner that is relevant to trump. Which is why it's misleading to keep bringing it up here. Not to mention it's not a unilateral order and there is the formality of having the AG write a declaration
I didn't bring it up, but thank you for clearing up that my statement is correct.

It's correct if you operate under the assumption that the AG will always be a puppet for the president (to the extent that he'd perjure himself) and if you limit the scope of it to exclusively foreign communications
My statement never said anything about Trump or the President by himself, so again, thank you for confirming my statement to be correct.
