I love Mike Brown. He reminds me a bit of the late great Godfrey Cambridge:
when did Bowen take away a player from a series?
Not 'til he shaves the beard
Yea Pop clearly upset.
He knows GSW is a heck of a team but the Spurs have improved in the postseason and were playing well. They were up 23 in the 3rd Q, when Kawhi goes down. It does hurt.
Pop pretty much got him that gig in GS. He had lost all credibility after his stints in CLE and LA. Nobody wanted him. Should've let that mother er starve.
of course Pop is upset... dude planned a whole season for this match up and all goes to the toilet because of a dirty play of a re ed mongloid
Huge props to Pop, I'm very proud of him. I thought he'd let this slide but glad I was wrong. He probably didn't want to because of his friendships with Kerr and Brown but this crossed a line. I never thought Twinkball would get this bushleague.
I know some people are saying "bu bu but Bowen". Bruce wasn't squeaky clean but he's not a goon like Zaza. Also, what makes this so sickening is Kawhi just tweaked an injury and zaza tries to get the kill shot. It's disgusting.
Don't wish bad on no one or hate no one but Zaza really pisses me off for what he did.....I forgive him.....But the NBA needs to ban Zaza for good.....
No doubt the Spurs are going to be fired up.....
Pop is really desperate at this point. He knows Bruce Bowen got away with the same on multiple occasions. Hes doing something hes never really done before. Hes pulling the Phil Jackson card. Trying to get the media on his side as some kind of revolt, with the intent to dare the league to do something. Its a calculated risk. If it works, Zaza is suspended maybe 1 or 2 games or the whole series. If the league does nothing, the Warriors are going to be reviled and hated from here on out on an epic level. Going to be difficult to get the masses to root for a "dirty" team.
KL and WB on the same team......CHAMPIONSHIP
Looks like Westbrook agrees with Pop.

In fairness, Bowen probably did it 5 times in a three year span. And I don't remember Pop ever defending it. And Brown was an assistant coach during that time, so he's as guilty as Pop.
Mike is jackass, it was two completely different plays. Steph's momentum was going towards LMA, Kawhi fading away.
I have noticed Steph falls a lot on his jumpers, probably started doing it to protect his ankles. Something Kawhi might want to add to his game if he comes back and Zaza is still out there.
Either way KL should sit out.....Don't want to cause further damage to the ankle....
My thing with the whole "How could he know exactly where Kawhi was going to land?" argument is, it's incredibly naive. Ok, you don't know the exact coordinates of where his feet will land, but you obviously know the general area. It's a risk free gamble.
If you put your foot out there and miss, you lose nothing. If you miss that time, you just try again the next time he's taking a shot. Eventually you'll hit.
If Curry dies, he dies.
GS fans are bringing Bruce up, but the funny thing is that GS fans didn't exist when Bruce was in the league
Think it's more like Curry fishing for fouls like the case that Brown turd sited.
Mike Brown is a great guy -- no one has a bad word to say about him.
His only sin is that he's the coach of the Spurs' playoff opponent.
Zaza the one foreign player not welcome on the Spurs.
I'd say send Bertans in to deal with him, as he's played in some rough places and has no fear, but I don't want Zaza anywhere near Davis's knee.
Love how curry and durant give a weak ass take of Zaza not being dirty and pop just brings the prosecution like a boss
Raymond doesn't even think he's dirty.![]()
Underrated part of Pop's rant was him mentioning what Mills went through on a screen Zaza set. Zaza hit him in the face IIRC, causing Curry to get open from 3.
His screens are illegal and occasionally dirty.
