Oh look. What we all knew was going to happen is happening. Yawn.

    NBA...piece of product
Thats the bigger issue, the NBA this season already felt really bad, but now are worse fears are confirmed, the Warriors are on another level and its not going to change for a couple years.

This league will be very hard to sell next season, Adam Silver and Durant.

They'll have absolutely no problem selling the product, proven by the finals ratings this season. People like dominating teams like 90s Bulls, not parity.

They had their highest ratings since 1998, tbh..

I think you guys are underestimating the effect of the casual fans(they love watching dominant teams), bandwagoners(usually my fellow s) and LeBron haters..not to mention the Warriors essentially have 2 fanbases(their small, pre-Curry community + 99% of Lakers fans)

Friday night's game will be one of the lowest rated Finals games in a long time. No one is wasting their Friday night watching a series that is already over.

ball stopping when he got a guy wide open? what? he literally moved the ball to korver
LeBron haters are literally reaching for any reason to blame him, in a series where he's averaging a triple-double against the most stacked team ever with very little support from his teammates at all. Doesn't matter if it contradicts what they were just bashing him for, as long as they can keep the hatred flowing.

The best look for us is if Cavs get swept. We at least morally won game 1

Hope they give FMVP to Curry since everyone expects KD to get it. Maybe it'll cause some locker room drama.

Man, the tiest thing in all this is everyone is already automatically annointing them the GOAT team for going 16-0 even though the Spurs had them down 23. The WCF would've at the very least been a 6 game series with a healthy Kawhichael.

Youre right to an extent. Casuals usually just tune in for the finals, maybe the WCF depending on the teams. This year with all the big names I can see the ratings being high, but the overall sentiment about these finals, especially what i'm seeing tonight now that the series is basically over, is that these are the worst finals(and playoffs) ever. I'm hearing this in person and reading it on social media too. A lot of people are watching, but i think if this continues for another year or two ratings will drop.

If Kawhi stays healthy we win that series in six. They had answer for us all season except for one fluky game where they had to come back from down 20.

This year's Spurs team was special if not for the injuries. For once I'd be okay with Patfo standing pat or not making big moves like signing CP3.

IIRC, the ratings never suffered when the Lakers were running through the league..in a 2-year stretch, they were only challenged by 1 team(2002 Kings)..if GS does this again next year, then maybe the NBA will start taking a hit..chasing 16-0 again could become a gimmick that draws casuals, though..

They need to beat a full healthy Spurs team to be considered close to the 80s Celtics, the Jordan's Bulls, Magic's Lakers, the 2000s Lakers, and the 2000s Spurs; jeezzz even Malone and Stockton at Utah had a great thing, more durable than pretty much anything - they just didn't ring.

Folks - this team is made of 3 really, very skilled and talented 3 point chuckers. They hit those shots. Period. But saying this is the greatest team ever is stupid. It's an insult to the really great teams that we have seen.

LeBron is my second fav player of all time, but just because he finds a relatively open role player doesn't make it the right move. The entire second half he was passive, to the point that GSW didn't even expect him to ttry to score. LeBron can keep passing it to Korver or JR with the game on the line, while that pussy KD just ended their season.
Who's your favorite player of all time tbh?
