I hear Roger Mason Jr. wants to get back into the league. We should sign him up since we're resigning guys who can't run the point.

    This is hilarious.

That said I'm content seeing improvements at the margin and knowing Spurs will still be a top 4 team in NBA.

At those still clinging to this "CIA Pop" nonsense, as if Spurs are outsmarting everyone and are going to end up with piece that moves needle for MLE.

Weren't even mentioned as being interested in Reed, when they desperately need an athletic, mobile big. Watch them go even cheaper, with some combination of Lee, Splitter, Black, Allen, Robinson, etc.

If they were really about maximizing '18 flexibility, they could have signed Meeks for 2/$7M, let Mills walk and signed a minimal veteran third PG. I don't see some master plan; I see a front office that's content.

As an aside, I find it comical how Van Gundy and Thibodeau do a lot of the same things Rivers has always received criticism for from the media, but they're geniuses and he's an idiot. Timberwolves need wing depth and a stretch big and instead blow remaining cap space on another limited to non shooting big.

I would cry in my joy if Durant would pull a LBJ and actually went back to OKC, after they trade for PG.

Westbrook-PG-Durant is better than GSW without Durant, TBH.

That's been proven not to mean much tho, especially when it comes to role players. You seldom hear they have legit interest in a guy like that, until it's close to or has been made official.

Young at 5 mill per to Warriors. Maybe

im starting to think, who would give Simmons a big deal based on a couple weeks of playoffs when you have Waiters and Evans that are more talented and more of a sure thing. Simmons should come in affordable imo

I feel bad for all these posters melting down because the Spurs didn't make any major moves, tbh..what did you expect?

I've been vocal about the strong possibility that the game has passed them by, but the meltdowns over not signing big names are comical..criticizing them for re-signing Mills or the loyalty contact they gave Parker is obviously valid, but you guys really expected Durant and Chris Paul to sign with the Spurs? You expect them to make moves for stars when they don't have any assets to trade?

    Same every year.

Spurs will probably keep everyone and win another 60 next year. One day when the Spurs have another 30 win season people will again realize how nice it is having a team that wins 50+. Until then they'll meltdown over not pulling off miralces.

Yup. It's not like they didn't try. We got looked over per par. Not everyone is for the NBAs equivalent to going to church.

I Didn't realize Mosgov was an asset. Team's dump bad/inconvenient contracts all the time. It's the Spurs FO that holds onto players until they lose whatever value they had. It's par for the course with RC Buford. Don't act like the Spurs never had assets because they have.

    Edit...

Spurs fans during the season: man, Aldridge and Danny are trash, D-league level, get them off the team

Spurs fans in July: man, why aren't the Spurs trading Aldridge and Danny Green for Porzingis? How is this not happening? !

Spurs fans all season: Kyle Anderson is so slow, has a fat head, 12th man caliber

Spurs fans in July: how did they not offer Kyle Anderson for Jimmy Butler?! That's a no-brainer for the Bulls!!

Who were they bidding against? Speaking of loyalty contracts...
