Come on. We got to the wcf without our starting PG, and beat a very good rockets team. And we were all confident to beat the cavs. We cannot out talent Warriors. I do have issue with Gasol signing. But as long as it doesn't hurt our future. He is still probably the top 3 backup centers.
I gave Spurs props for games 5 and 6 of WCSF. Overall though, I attribute last season mostly to Leonard, rare late game luck and lack of multi star teams. Obviously, the latter has now changed.

They've also clearly either thought they were smarter than everyone else or misjudged the direction of the league. It's not just the players they signed, it's their utilization of them. I agree with the majority of Aldridge criticism, but I also think he hasn't been utilized properly. They've tried in vain to turn him into prime Duncan, instead of going the other way and turning him into a true stretch big.

teams lowballing the spurs? lowry for $33, otto for the max. someone would pay $24 million for la. they have no incentive to rush cause the spurs are stuck with him and his current trade value.

Could've been Vivek's decision. He loves shooters.

Your last post was all emotional, empty words, so which direction should they take? Kidnap the families of stars and force them to play in SA for their release?

You know none of these peeps who speak the really bad stuff aren't remotely in any spotlight, and most definitely not famous.
Just schmoes with nothing to lose, but you never know, nowadays. Peeps can get sued, or get scrutinized over ish they did decades ago and it's all there for everybody to see.

And still I inhabit this beautiful, chaotic maelstrom... Great place.

I get Sacramentos cap numbers but if they were smart they'd go the Philly route and give huge one year deals. I'm not high on porter and I don't think an average 3 is worth that much money.

Poor Wizards..they have to keep him, since they don't have the flexibility to get better and they're trying to win now in a weak conference with Wall in his prime..

They should be looking to trade Gortat, asap..

Spurs are the ones in no rush. They still are the second best team in the nba, and they got younger and more athletic, plus more creators were added. One team will miss out and be forced to make a move for the fans. A GM will get job security fear. Plenty of free agents left with teams running out of money quick.

Spurs have been good so far. Patient and letting tthe market come to them.

All the moves these teams are making, are not making them contenders. Houston is going to be a fifty fifty shot at being better, and Minnesota is the only team that really jumped to the next level. I dont know if the thunder will be all that great. They are over the cap. They have nothing left to improve without mortgaging their future, and even then that might not make them a contender.

Not sure why people are so impatient. The teams that are usually at the too, usually don't make many moves.

The guy obsessed with his image on basketball message boards is telling others they take this too seriously.
Since I'm far too important to have my thoughts scattered about and buried under the storm that has ensued here in the past 20 or so hours . . .

Fo' sho'. Thank you homie. I just can't fear a team that has one of The historic playoff quitters of all time on their team (Harden/Rockets) and, I'm sorry, but Pop, for all his ridicule, gets results. They went to the damn WCF last year and no, I don't think they would have taken GSW and advanced, but they had a better possibility than anyone else.

    Anyone else.

I'm surfing this wave and it's perty darn fun watching the skulls crack in the process.

It's strange. We won one FA sweepstakes two years ago and now it seems people forgot about 1997-2014.

The majority of ST is so out of the loop with the market. Shocked at the MVPaddy deal and now shocked at Porter being offered the max despite it being rumored pretty much all year.

Porter makes some sense in that team has no small forwards and the Kings books are clean for the next few years. It's not like any other free agent who has choices will be yearning to sign there. And he's young also.

Better they target him than Simmons.

Nah Porter makes sense. He's one of the top up and coming wings in the NBA right now. Very talented player.

I'm pretty stoked to see these young guys get an opportunity tbh. I honestly think Blossom can be every bit as good as dedmon was. That guy was great in the system but really did not have much skill at all. He couldn't play very good one on one D, and was non existent in a half court offense. Blossom can easily do that with 4s, and has the ability to put the ball on the floor. He isn't very skilled either, but seems to have the right at ude going in. I want to see how he performs with Murray and white who have both been Creative play makers. Summer league should be fun. I think some of these young guys can push for playing time early.

Would mind discount vets on the second unit like Gay, Carter, who can defend and won't be intimidated. Can both shoot and still beat their man off the dribble as well.

On reddit is intersting discusion about Toronto needing to dump salaries. While I don't see them dumping Carroll, but JV or CoJo could be out. Both can be replaced by cheaper guy. JV is interesting prospect, because Casey cannot utilize his abilities.

Team like Brooklyn can need CoJo, but I cannot see them taking Carrol's deal. I am talking about 3way teamer with Spurs, that would send LMA to Toronot, CoJo, Carrol to Nets, and JV to Spurs. But cannot see why would Nets do it. Toronto will have throw 1st round pick as well to Nets.

Can Spurs s'n't Simmons in same deal ? That would clear about 6 mil in cap space, so Gasol could be back on full 16 mil, without more years.

I love Porter if they use him correctly, been saying it all year..if they're going to use him like Dallas is using Barnes, he will fail, though, as he can't create his own shot(even if he continues to improve, he'll never be a top 2 offensive creator)..

Finding penetrating PGs to create open shots is easy, though..except for the Spurs
