One good game and now you're an instant fan after decrying this pick
He was awful. In no universe is 14 points (last two points were FTs at the end of the game off an intentional foul when the game was clearly over) on 20 shots a "good game." You could live with that if he played lock down defense, like Rubio or Kidd, but he let some 5'9" no name drop 25 points on him (yeah, in 26 shots, but that still beat Longo's efficiency). Then he committed 7 TOs. Awful assist-to-TO ratio.
He won't be the future of anything unless he figures out how to shoot. This isn't the 90's when pass-first PGs were more viable since the game was more half-court oriented then. Longo needs to be at least around 20ppg player who is an efficient threat from deep. Because the league is so centered around offense coming from the pick-and-roll, your PGs need to be big scoring threats to keep defenses from just packing.
That's the reality.
