Probably a 4th or 5th seed tbh. Rockets will win the division. Kawhi leaves with his PO to Cali, either Warriors or Lakers.

^ That's my best case scenario though. Could easily see us going like 52-30 and losing in the 2nd round tbh.

A lot of teams improved this offseason and this team still doesn't have a PG or someone who can breakdown the defense off the dribble outside of Kawhi and occasionally Murray.

I think every Spurs fan realistic expectation should be to get back to WCF and get a true shot at the Warriors...

Somewhat has a 13-14' feel in which you think the opponent got left off the hook. If I'm Pop that's my message to the team entering the season..majority of the team will be back and most of the important players should be chomping at the bit..

My only true concern about projecting the upcoming season is the LMA Saga..and what kind of a distraction it could become..of course nobody in the media will think highly of us but we should be used to it..

I agree, I just want another shot at the Warriors. I wanted the play them the previous two years and I was ecstatic that we got to play them last year, but then Kawhi went down and it absolutely ruined what could have been an amazing series.

What's your take on Aldridge? You think the Spurs are pretty much set on bringing him back and trying and play out the season with him?

Spurs go 57-25 beat Minnesota in 6 games in the 3-6 match up

and beat Houston in 6 in the 2-3 match up.

Lose to the Warriors in 5 games.

I think Spurs are in a tough spot regarding LMA..but tbh he's been a big part of competing against them and being successful. If the Spurs style wasn't compe ive against GSW they'd ditch it..but I think they're gonna roll the dice unless they get something with great value and doesn't sacrifice the future..

I think how LMA approaches the season and how he looks when they report for camp could determine a lot

TWolves, OKC, and Houston all significantly better than last year. Also have to consider Pelicans improvement with a full off-season to jell. No more than 55 wins for Spurs even assuming Kawhi stays healthy. If he comes down bad on that ankle again, we may miss the playoffs altogether.

This coming season will shatter the delusion that PATFO and a lot of fans have been operating under the last few years. This is an otherwise very mediocre team with one bright star at it's center.

I have them at 45-55 wins if Manu doesn't come back, 55+ wins if he does, tbh... Tony's return is a huge question mark right now and we have a bunch of players that need to be fed to score (DG, Patty, etc).

Did they even have a chance to sign CP3 and make their case as to why he should join Spurs? It seems CP3 couldn't wait for free agency to start and had to be a Rocket asap. It seems Spurs got shut out before it even started. As much criticism as the FO gets for not signing CP3 there is only so much you can do if a player already has his mind made up. I don't know if they even had a meeting, it was just sign and trade and over.

I believe the Spurs will be 52-30, mainly due to the loss of Parkers leadership and a lesser degree of interior defense of Dedman and the hustle of David Lee. Likely a 3rd seed, only Houston and Golden state Better. Take into account, Clippers and Jazz will take a step back, but Twolves will rise up, possibly as high as 5th seed, behind OKC. I think Forbes wins either 6th man of the year or most improves playing SG/PG. SPURS pull an upset over Golden State, win the championship. Behind Kawhi, Forbes, Gay, a determined LMA.
    Go Spurs GO!

Just another year until we turn into the Pacers. city that no one wants to play in. 5 years of constantly being embarrassed by Lebron (Warriors) or other middle of the pack teams. Overrated GM that has won Executive of the year awards because lord knows why. Holding on to cancerous Hansbrough (Manu) because he appeals to the locals.

... and finally. Our franchise player will want to leave to a better team and city.

50 wins, first round exit. Still way too early though.
