Even without them, Lakers 11, Sp*rs 4.61
* denotes winning a rang in a strike shortened season. 50/82=0.61.
Burns, huh?![]()
Kobe 5

Yeah, it's called being carried by Shaq, Pau, Phil, Stern, Horry, Artest, Odom...
Horry 7
Fisher 5
Kobe 5
Shhhh
Irving who couldn't will his team to the playoffs without LeBron. Wall, who has done what? Isaiah who has done what? Lillard is considered a top 10 PG in today's NBA. Compe ion is .
You forgot to ask what Chris "Second-Round Exit" Paul has done. CP0 has been Curry's for years now.
Overall. Compe ion. wise it's not even close. Kobe faced alot of HOFs at the wing during his career. You are saying Lowry, Irving, Harden, Thomas, Conley are all future HOFs?
Curry is no longer a first option. Not with Durant there.
Horry was at the right place at the right time. No all star games. Fisher too. That's your credible argument?
And Curry has Durant in his prime who is wayyyyy better than Pau. If you want to call anyone MVP whatever, look at Durant's playoff run compared to Curry's.
Horry and Fisher were not anywhere near all-star level performers so how is that even relevant?
Using your logic this means something:
Horry 7
Jordan 6
Kareem 6
Magic 5
Harden is extremely likely to be an MVP player. Irving has a chance.
Pierce, Tmac, AI, Allen, ginobili are locks. That's five. Who else?
Chris paul is a lock. Westbrook is pretty much a lock (can't think of any mvps who didn't make the hall). Harden is highly likely. Wall and Irving has a chance if they keep it up (like tmac and Allen). That's five.
Kobe defined what right place right time is.
If you actually used you brain, you wouldn't figured that's his logic, not mine.
Irving hit the 3 that sealed the championship and the backdoor sweep... As good as Lebron is, everybody needs some help, tbh... Wall, Isaiah, Russ... they're all the best players on their respective teams (EDIT: or were), the PG position in the current NBA is pretty stacked...
Take the SG position as contrast... you have Harden and the 2nd best guy is way down... back in the day you had Wade, T-Mac, Ray Allen, prime Manu, RIP... the position was stacked, even if T-Mac or Ray didn't really win anything when they were 1st bananas...

tbf, I specifically named 'regular season Chris Paul'... the PG position is pretty stacked right now, and I'm not trying to take anything away from Curry, he's dope, but there's a lot of great talent at his position...
Sure, he sometimes has to compete with the Porkers of the world and has some easy nights, but overall, there's compe ion out there.
Curry has Durant because Raymond cried, tbh... I was just pointing out that having the 'secret sauce of winning' is a lot easier when you have the league and best players carrying you...
Except Pau had done nothing in Memphis beforehand.
Kobe also did face Reggie Miller in those 2000 finals. 24.3 PPG. Also Vince Carter is probably a lock as well.
He made the playoffs with a terrible cast, tbh, not to mention Kobe flat out quit after Shaq stopped holding his hand, some 'secret loser sauce' that was...
True. Kobe played 19 years. Currys going on his 7th. And the compe ion they faced is already comparable.
Btw, Kobe's compe ion in the 2000 finals was Austin croshere. No need to change it to a HoFer to fit your narrative.
And if people want to make fun of Irving playing against dellanova, then be sure to have Kobe's matchup correct and name Eric snow instead of AI.
He didn't forget. That loser is on his team now, he gets a free pass.
While Shaq went into Miami and rang.
But it wasn't. His logic compared players who are or who will be hall of famers, while your post was just dumb comparing players who weren't even all stars to hall of fame talent.
