People are going to come into this country illegally anyways, so there’s no point in a border wall. Leave government out of this!
the point is to stop drugs

It's a straw man to say that gun control will not end murder. When you see the weaponry paddock had, there's no justifiable reason to allow anybody to possess that much destructive capability. No good reason. Call it assault weapons, high capacity mags, whatever it is. We need to take STEPS to reach a point where people can't stockpile like that so easily.
If someone can afford that many firearms and pass background checks for each what justifiable reason would you have to stop them from doing so? When it's all said and done I bet he only used 4 rifles max so your fear of a "stockpile" seems misguided.

I would say one assault rifle is too much. Four is an insanely unnecessary amount . No good justification for it, and gun fetish isn't an important enough concept to protect

How many of our guns are smuggled in?
You don't think it'd be an issue? If humans are trafficked, you think guns won't/can't be?

And you missed the point of it.

Prohibition created a huge death increase, like 70% or something.

    Take what steps. Be specific.

That's not a attempt to mock Chump either. Just say exactly what you want to see happen. If it's ban guns that's fine.
I'm not somebody who supports banning guns. I absolutely believe in arming oneself for self defense. I don't currently own a gun (not a financial priority in a new marriage) and we've got a pit bull patrolling the front yard . But at some point do want to own a shotgun for that purpose.

I would look at what enables mass shootings. Having a certain quan y of bullets in your possession at a given time. Weapons capable of firing dozens of rounds in a short periods of time. Assault weapons which are extremely deadly at ranges that far exceed self defense purposes.

I don't doubt there will be a market. I doubt that some people won't be deterred. People still drank during prohibition, but not nearly as much as before/after prohibition

He didn't have any assault rifles. Are you arguing that bumpfire/slidestocks should be banned? If so I would disagree and say they should be regulated by the ATF like assault rifles are.

It's actually a fair argument to make in regards to how ineffectual gun control can be.

Of course it is changing the subject.

But kudos to your dear leader for stopping American carnage back in January. Smooth sailing ever since.
