I want Kawhi back tho... we're going to get rickrolled regardless, but if Kawhi isn't there, it gives PATFO an out...
I was thinking I’d rather Kawhi stay resting or whatever is wrong with him so the rest of the roster is exposed and really evaluated, not covered up by Kiwi’s play, but you are right. If Kawhi is injured that’s the perfect excuse...

I really want mah Spurs to be better too.

Even though he hardly played I did like what I saw out of Derrick White.
He should be playing the minutes currently played by BP3. I think BP3 has had opportunities enough.

Kyle has been passive since the 76ers game. He’s had good moments but not enough.
Lamarcus and Pau have no excuses but without good PG play bigs usually don’t perform well.
Yes, the PG situation hurt LMA and Gasol. But that doesn't affect the hustle stats. They were both very poor on defense and on the boards. They both also shot the ball poorly - especially Gasol. And Kyle was looking like he was turning the corner before his injury, but he has reverted to his passive self. We really needed him to be aggressive tonight. He had a couple of good moments, but was otherwise AWOL.

Worst team since 2008-10, but it might be worse than those teams. Only teams worse since Duncan was drafted were the 2000-2002 teams.

atleast those teams had a competent back up PG in George Hill.

For Kyle, I think the have told him to focus on defense since both Kawhi and Danny are out. That’s basically his role right now and where Popwill really get on him. If they don’t care about what he’s doing offensively that much he can defer, unfortunately. They have Bryn starting to score the basketball basically, I think he’s taken it easy there, perhaps. If Pop wants more has to get on him. But I agree with you, he can be better.

Pau had a terrible game. I thought he was kind of bailed out by Davis against Sacramento too. I knew the Spurs were in trouble when Pau didn’t come out to play. It’s too bad Davis also didn’t look good.

Lamarcus set the tone of the game though.

But with all that, it still was a close game until the bench really screwed things up.

    From Kawhi..

That nights elbow can be another game’s kick, another game, step on your footing the paint and bump, another game decapitation through a screen, another game hit you in the face nose bleeding grabbing a rebound etc. All injuries suffered by others still playing but if they happened to Kawhi it’s back to “sooner rather than later”. I am pretty tired of Kawhis injuries schticks tbh

I'm not convinced Houston last year was better tbh. They play a very gimmicky system with mediocre defense and had limited star power last year. IMO a series between last year's Rockets and OKC/Minny is a toss up.
But can you imagine how FUN series between the Rockets and GSW would be?!?!

Should have played more minutes. Even though he was scoring well I though Bryn played too much and Mills probably deserved a benching (and his minutes were cut, but seems like not enough).

I’m glad Manu owned it. The bench was murdered and cost us the game. It’s not surprising when witnessing Patty’s 0 pts, 4 to’s performance. Hopefully Murray earned himself the back up pg role. I love the guy, but he is not cutting it. It will be hard to move him with that salary.

In LA tonight to face a 13-27 Lakers squad who have won their last 2 games, including a home win over the Kings last night, after a 9-game losing streak. Second leg of a b2b for the Lakers, which should be advantageous for the Spurs. Kawhi and Rudy are Out, Tony is Doubtful, and Danny is Questionable. Game will be televised on TNT. Still, no excuses not to win this one against the team that is dead last in the Western Conference standings. Let's get it.

    Damn shame.

LMArsha didn't want us. Now we drafted Kuz, who I'd rather have over him both in the short and long term. Funny how things turn out.

Spurs have no chance in the playoffs tbh.
