At least Walker didn't get traded elsewhere, leaving open the possibility between end of the season and July 1st (when Gay can opt out; they need his contract to take back Williams).

It still probably won't happen, but there was always a better chance then than now. Not only are Spurs notoriously adverse to in season moves (especially of this magnitude), but an ignominious end to the season could up their desperation level.

    - Cavaliers did well, but are now officially in same position as Spurs with no second creator. Plus, Hood, Clarkson and Nance have little to no playoff experience and they have to put this together with 29 games to go, then re-integrate Love later. While slightly more likely to make the Finals, they're no more likely to win it.

    - Mavericks (exchanging superfluous small guard for needed size on wing), Pistons (needed wing depth), Lakers (cap space + 1st), Knicks and Suns (Mudiay and Payton worth looks for relatively low cost).

    - Grizzlies (should have taken the best offer for Evans), Timberwolves (if/when they sign Rose), Kings (admittedly blowing 13 / 22 in '16 just over 18 months after draft).
I'm upset how cheap Pistons got Ennis.

I like Ennis. He did well vs. SA last year when Spurs barely got by Memphis thanks to Kawhi going god mode.

I find it fascinating how some people utilize and back up their opinions using advanced metrics ( plus/minus, drpm, orpm, or On/Off points per/100 possessions, ect) for all players they're assessing.

But when someone brings up Murrays' advanced metrics they don't want to except those facts.
You can find it as fascinating as you want. It won't change the fact that Bradley's sample size is like 20 times larger than Murray's and not remotely dissonant with his career trajectory

    OKC got/gets "him". Good*

    OKC got/gets "he". Bad*

"Let’s look at another:Who/whom should I talk to about labeling food in the refrigerator?

Try subs uting “he” and “him”: I should talk to he. I should talk to him. “Him” works, so the word you need is whom.
Whom should I talk to about labeling food in the refrigerator?

I am just calling you out for trotting out cliche lines in a season Kiwi has been injured for the entirety of it, plus the Spurs were losing with him playing bc he was in minutes restrictions and not 100%. Have to call it like it is.
It's not a cliche line. This is basically the same team as last year except LMA is the one shouldering the load while Kawhi recovers. If and when he comes back, we know how this team is going to play. It's reality. Nothing cliche about it.

“It’s always tough to see a teammate go unless he is willing to go,” Ginobili said. “There are some situations — it hasn’t happened very often with us — where somebody is very uncomfortable and wants to leave.

“But it is always painful when you see a teammate leaving. You create a bond, and you have been together for so long, and you are going to do your best with your guys. Sometimes it is going to be enough, sometimes it won’t. But it has a meaning to go through tough times and great times with the people you know and trust and you have grown used to playing with.”

it's not the reality when Kiwi hasn't been carrying the burden Tim. not all this season.

Lamarcus has, and a supporting cast of different guys each night.

Bc you don't know who is the one who will have the career night or pull through, you don't know how many minutes to play and lineups... and some nights no one can really step up... roleplayers will notoriously be inconsistent that is what makes them roleplayers... but it's not like they haven't shouldered each of their burdens.

The roster is indeed skewed bc some guys are indeed overpaid relative to their production... for example, you have in a the bench 15 million Tony, 10 Million Patty and 16 Million Pau. It doesn't look good, but to mention Kiwi there like he has been shouldering some burden this season is cliche. And he's an MVP candidate when healthy. MVP candidates always share a huge burden. that is what makes them standout. If Kiwi was healthy this team might be on pace for 60 wins again...

Perhaps I phrased my post wrong but, yes, I know Kawhi hasn't really played obviously. I was speaking in regards to roster construction and play style.

A Kawhi and LMA post-up/ISO game is only going to get you so far. There was the potential to improve and PATFO have stood pat. We can talk about the last WCF all we want, and howtweaking the roster and/or play style is unnecessary but I disagree. There's always room to improve, imo.

At this point, I really don't want to see some story come out on how the Spurs were close to trading for someone, but didn't pull the trigger for one reason or another (that reason probably being to keep the culture intact).

Only players I'm concerned about is is a healthy Kawhi and Rudy. We can be an elite team with those 2 back in the fold and good enough to beat GSW.

LOL, yeah OK. We may have a small chance of winning a game or two against them if Kawhi and Rudy are healthy and we even get that far, but you really think they can win a series against them with this roster? or are you just talking about winning one regular season game against them?

Just like Detroit could never beat Shaq/Kobe's Lakers or Spurs beating Miami. Let everyone get healthy and we'll see. I still like our chances given that we would have the best player on the floor.

Dude, you are remembering it wrong. The vast majority of the people had the Spurs as favourites over the Heat in '14.
