In June 2017, the Russian military launched the most destructive and costly cyber-attack in history.

The attack, dubbed “NotPetya,” quickly spread worldwide, causing billions of dollars in damage across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. It was part of the Kremlin’s ongoing effort to destabilize Ukraine and demonstrates ever more clearly Russia’s involvement in the ongoing conflict. This was also a reckless and indiscriminate cyber-attack that will be met with international consequences.

Gotta have more than just an assertion to take action against another country. Fbi can’t even stop a guy making threats on YouTube but somehow US intelligence is going to conclusively pin this on Russia? I’m still looking for proof of the so called collusion. so far the best they’ve come up with is a dozen private citizens did stuff unbeknownst to the trump campaign. Hardly the smoking gun we were all waiting for. About as many or more private USA citizens went to fight for Isis, does that mean the USA supported Isis and needs to be sanctioned?

To chap your ass for one, for two because it’s the truth. This country needs to ally with Russia and India against mutual threats for our long term stability. Globalists would rather ally with China and Pakistan, and are willing to spread false information about Russia in order to demonize them and prevent any warming up of relations. It’s stupid and harmful foreign policy and threatens us all with nuclear holocaust.

What is your proof it's false information from the Trump administration today?

Why do you not believe the Trump administration?

Who do you think it was instead?

So, what does anyone want done about it? For the "largest cyber attack in history" it sure took a ing long time for this to come to the public domain.

You'd think the "largest cyber attack in history" would have done some damage domestically to earn the moniker "largest cyber attack in history" to get some kind of news coverage like you'd expect from the "largest cyber attack ever".

Seems like it might be "the slowest, most ineffectual largest cyber attack ever".

It was mainly directed at Ukraine. Some US companies were affected.

So, what is a reasonable expectation for the US government to do?

Implementation of the last sanction law passed is reasonable.

How the are we supposed to know without any proof? You’d need evidence in order to form a conclusion?
