Jazz beat our asses handedly, right? Haven't been paying much attention to them, tbh.
This! I 'd rather not face Utah in the first round. Hopefully, we end up 5th and blazers 4th.

They've been the best team in the NBA since Jan 1st. If the Dubs aren't at least 90% for the second round I could see them having problems. No Curry and they legitimately lose.

I have a conundrum with the Warriors. On one hand, I want them to lose really bad; on the other hand, if the Warriors look beatable in the playoffs, and do end up getting defeated, it just adds more pain to this lost season.

Is that your house or something? Bunch of Spurs related stuff.
Just some pic I found on google.![]()
Eh, I'd definitely rather see them lose. , might lead to them losing some key pieces or even Durbeta jumping ship.
Besides, with Kawhi prolly on his way out and the Spurs heading towards a rebuild (maybe staying a mediocre playoff team for a few years) I'm just numb to it. Saw the writing on the wall last offseason.
Without kawhi we’re delaying the inevitable tbh but for rd 1, avoid Houston, okc, in that order. Westbrook kills us.
it could be boredom but gs seems beatable especially without curry
Warriors, even if Spurs can't win, hopefully they injure Durant or something.
Warriors first, Houston second
I don't want Portland. Their venomous media would bombard Aldridge with questions to make him look stupid for leaving, rubbing his face in Kawhi not being there, pressing him to talk about how good Lillard and McCollum are, etc.
There's a risk of it sending him into a downward funk cycle, undoing how far he's come.
And if they beat GSW, it's the ultimate organizational response to Kawhi hiding in New York with his supposed rehab. There's not a damn thing he's doing there he couldn't do in SA: foam rolling, dry needling, cryo, inversion, bands, pool, etc etc.
And as a bonus, the 7th seed equals what, the 19th pick? Give me that.
He usually plays well against his old team.
Yeah, the idea that Portland is some media nightmare for LMA is crazy. That's even more true since the Spurs would have HCA in any possible first-round matchup with Portland and would probably win that series.
I just don't want Paul George to beat us after we traded him, tbh
Even though an upset is unlikely, I'd like a shot at revenge. I want the Warriors.
A Warriors matchup is very likely imo. I would not mind it. No Curry? Best shot.
Prime Nono
we can beat them if they're down Elian got. Durant alone isn't good enough. That's about like the early 2010s Thunder teams if you take out a better shooting version of Westbrook. Gaymond=Ibaka. Klay is a bit better than Thabo, I guess. But he's definitely no Harden. Maybe on the same level as Reggie Jackson.
It's the opposite. They won't press him I guess LMA expects this series, he'll take care of beating Dame. Do you don't see the pic of both last SAS/POR game? Too much tension there.
Also, he won't care about Kawhi media's questions. LMA is one of the few guys being benefited by Kawhi's absence.
Blazers is without a doubt the best playoffs' matchup for the Spurs.
Anyone but Utah. Too much bad memories from 1996 and 1998 popping up
GSW without Curry... Rockets without
think Utah is the one team that is healthy and clicking... not them.
This could be one of the worst takes ever on this site. Hope you were joking.
Yes, Thompson and Jackson both don’t pass, but one doesn’t pass because he’s one of the best shooters ever, while the other thinks he’s AI but isn’t 10% of AI.
