Was Benzema hurt or something? I hope Zidane doesn't plan to play Bale the rest of the way.

Some fans give him a lot of but the fact is Benzema knows his role, doesn't seem to mind it and doesn't play over his head. Not everyone is meant to or can be a superstar.

He's been the perfect complement to GOATnaldo over the years, knows how to hold possession with his back to the goal, dish out the timely assist and when to take defenders with him to open lanes for Ronaldo. Bale is too much of a loose cannon with the ball.
    Someone knows football.

Its comial scrubs like Giroud, Lacazrtte etc are playing over Benzema. Hes not scoring sure, but hes got great tactical awareness that helps his team overall. Hope france gets knocked out in the first round.

I see DAF is still coping...

Clear as day: Benatia puts both hands on Vasquez back as a support but at no point does he pushes. There's no extension whatsoever of the arms. That's not a push, just a normal contact on a contact sport. And then with his foot he gets the ball first, in fact he says it on the interview. Not a foul, no matter where you look at it.

It was a foul, very obvious. Sad that schoolshootertacular is posting here now.

That said, it was a soft fould. You could argue they dont make these calls in these situations though.

lol son that's not a foul. Football is a contact sport, not every contact is a foul.

BTW Jodelo said Benatia didn't touch the ball. But if Benatia didn't touch the ball there, how does the ball revert his direction? From that angle it sure as doesn't seem like Vasquez touches it.
Defender was making contact with Vazquez back and side before the ball had reached or touched any of the 2 players. I'm sorry but that's a penalty from here to Timbuktu.

Whatever you're seeing, it's just not there FAP

Again contact =/= foul. If you would have played football once you would know.

Bro, I coach football. I didn't even say if a foul should've been called. I just know your case that no push occurred is laughable. If you don't like that, you should spare us the fanboy takes.

You live in the US. My grandmother could coach your NT if she went there.

But please, coach, explain how there's a push on that play.

DAF its a clear push man. Was it a soft call? Sure.

    But thats a clear foul.

If every penalty comes down to the intensity of the tackle and how much force is necessary to make a player fall, then there are no penalties because that's impossible for a ref to calculate precisely in real time

Fact is, there was clear contact made by the defender on the back and side of the attacker with his leg and hands, before the ball had reached the 2 players. Ref was well within his rights to make the call.

Hand on the back. The dude instantly jerks in a subsequent way. It's not hard to see, tbh.

I can put my hand on you without pushing you. For there to be a push, there has to be some kind of force, extended arms, something, and there's nothing of the sort there.

But whetever sons, I'm not gonna change your minds. I take solace on the fact that the vast majority of the football World agrees with me.

Is it possible he flopped? Yes. Do you know that? No. Why put the game in the ref's hands if you have a beat on it?

    Where's the push there?

Serious question sons: Have any of you played organized football at any kind of level?

my it's an obvious foul wtf. Any organized football person would tell you that a challenge from behind in that position is either perfect or penaldo. I won't even talk about the context, just the play. He pushed from behind and then kicks him in the chest, that's a clean penaldo. Stop being a pussy and men up and accept that big naldo one upped midget once again. god bless tbh.

Damn, Benatia even hit him in the chest with his foot. Clear foul.
it's obvious smh, shows you how made the sport world has become, everybody is so en led, "where my rangz at" at utude

son you're 101% right tbh, sergio ramos is their heart and soul tbh.

Another old fart that has never touched a ball on his life.

It is not a foul. Only on this forum people argue it is, tbh.
