Lol. If professional growth is leaving a sinking ship, I suspect you still work at the burger joint you started at in HS, huh?
Charlote seems like a potential destination for Kawhi. He might very well decide who becomes coach.

Messina, Borrego and Udoka are all leaving because the writing's on the wall but sure, personal growth and all that.dumbass
Don't waste your time on one of the worst posters on here bruh![]()
well also they know pop is close to retirement and that'll be a clean house so leave this year or leave 2020
Hopefully they take Messina off our hands..But yes it is looking this team is about to get nuked and every member of the assistants crew is looking for greener pastures..
I said that about you first. Get a fresh retort, chief.
Messina outcoached Pop, even with the latter's poor roster..he won't receive the proper respect, though, because he isn't American..
His subs utions, defensive assignments made sense tbh
I liked two things...We saw LMA taking 3-4? 3's in a game, Pop didn't call those plays in the whole season, and how they switched without letting Patty on KD many times.
Becky has to be the next one in line. It's probably no coincidence that Messina, Udoka and Borrego are taking teams up on their offers for interviews while Becky has rejected two job offers from college bball teams (Florida and Colorado State). Maybe I'm reading too much into it but it's just the way it looks.
I think you’re reading too much into it.
becky is waiting for a NBA head coaching job which would be historic. Spurs coaches have been given soft invites for many years now. Messina and Borrego have been interviewed before and there's no indication that they are heavywieghts. Charlotte is not a great job anyway.
This is the second thing I wanted to post about after watching the game (Manu being the first). I think Ettore did a much better job than Pop has most of this season in tonight's game. He played the right player more minutes IMO and the defense was better too. I like that he didn't sit and rest people for no reason. No silly mismatches with midgets guarding KD and Klay. Great job Ettore.
Spurs have to rebound better, though. The rebounding wasn't great for most of the game.
The main thing I don't get with Pop is sitting and resting players all the time, especially when they're playing well and don't need the rest. Why break their rhythm all the time? I assume that is driving Kawhi crazy, and if he does want to leave (I hope he doesn't), I'm going to say that I think that would be one of the main reasons. Pop should probably step down if he's mailing it in.
"I think the time has come," Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. "For sure, he's very capable and experienced."
Gasol agreed.
"Messina has been one of the top head coaches in Europe," Gasol said. "It's hard to get that opportunity in the NBA, but if there's someone who should get it, it should be him.
"It would be a great step, kind of like when the first European players came to the NBA and proved they could play and make a difference and handle themselves well."
The Hornets have reportedly scheduled interviews with Messina, former Memphis Grizzlies coach David Fizdale and another Spurs assistant, Ime Udoka.
Messina was asked about his interest in the job after Tuesday's game.
"I don't feel now is the time to talk about it," he said. "If I ever have an opportunity, the first thingI will do is talk to Coach Pop and (Spurs general manager) R.C. Buford and will see from there."
Right of first refusal?
^ Probably. If the Spurs really want Messina to be the next coach after Pop they will have to give Messina a clear timeline. But if he wants to leave he has every right.
Maybe Coach Bud can come back as an assistant.
Messina and Udoka both interviewed for HC positions in 2015. It's not their first time around the block.
