Jordan gets the nod for giving a about the regular season. Lebron simply doesn't. He's part of a newer generation of players who believe getting to the playoffs is all that matters. Jordan had/has a massive ego, probably was/is a real prick to live with. I'd bet you cannot even play Monopoly with him without him trying to flex on you. Lebron is less into basketball from an ego standpoint. He's still there, but no one has ever, imo, been as OTT about it as Jordan. So the 72 win season didn't really need to be a 72 win season, and the Warriors won 73 games with no one remotely close to Jordan's abilities. I'd say they didn't even have a Pippen level player. They just had out of this world shooting and good basketball all around.
Also, Jordan's Bulls probably couldn't hang with today's teams that take 40 3pt shots a game. A 20pt deficit in Jordan's day meant you're in garbage time in the middle of the 3rd. Today, you'd need almost 40 to be there because teams can make 20-0 runs in just a couple minutes. This is what Lebron has to contend with yet he plays more to the rim than from the arc.
So it's not really a good comparison between the two, but they definitely stand up there atop the pile.
