I will admit to rooting for heavy casualties on left and right and in this regard, I think there is something encouraging about the Tea Party and someone like DJT being elected. If a lot more "other than professional politicians" could do it too, that were all to the good IMO.
There's nothing wrong being partisan. There is something wrong feigning superiority, denying stinks on the side you stand on and being a complete and utter homer for one side.
I lean more conservatively in my values and cast my lot with Trump under the gist that 1. bat lunacy on the Far Left pushed me further away from the Democrat party I voted for 2008 and I honestly believed someone that was not a career politician could function with transparency and do things career politicians don't. But, regrettably, he is functioning the way an average schmuck would function as President with zero political background. He was my first Repub vote since Bush in '00.
