So, rumour has it that Kawhi's injury is trully serious and all this shenanigans is just to get the Spurs to offer supermax.
Alternative could be Leonard signing 1+1 supermax (allowable?) that would give Leonard ability to opt out in 2020 when it appears Pop would be moving on.

An Argie journalist that always gives info (he has ties Oberto, Manu and a lot of folks in SA and around the league) just mentioned on the go on TV. Nothing really serious or official, but he did say it, and he's not one of those guys that just says to get attention.

The Spurs sniffed it out and called his bluff. Now we’re on to deciding whether to iron out the relationship or ship him out. On the one hand, he’s a superstar talent, on the other hand he’s willing to sabotage his own team to please his grifter uncle. What to do?

He's been shielded from a lot. First San Diego and then SA. Now he wants to go to a high pressure big market full of idiot fans and media? Imagine this 'injury' playing out as it did in LA, Philly, or Boston. Imagine when you don't win a championship the reaction isn't 'well, next time' as it generally is in SA, but rather 24/7 when is this overrated piece of going to get it done? If he's that weak that any negativity turns him into a passive-aggressive hermit how's he going to deal with that constant barrage of insane expectations and full tilt hostility?
