You saw what happened when a 19 year old Cuban long jumper jumped 29 feet, well that ain't compared to a 19.5 for a middle school kid, not even close.

In 1966 the amazing/great Tommie Smith ran a 19.5 200 straight, the track world went bonkers, that was considered the greatest performance in the history of the sport.

Look at this guy, that is what a legit 19.5 sprinter looks like. Now think at what you look like.







Smith was world ranked in the 100/200/400.....he also broke the 400m WR.

So few weeks before the 68 Olympics he anchored a 4x1 team vs our Olympic to be 4x1 team. At the final exchange Jimmy Hines (would win the Oly 100m in WR time) had a solid two meters advantage on Smith, yep......Tommie ran him down.
