How much PG13 staying in OKC has blindsided both Magic and Lebron camp?

Feels like should have been done by now..

The question is whether LeBron wants LA without Kawhi, because I just don't see Kawhi-to-LA happening. He'd have to be okay playing alongside Boogie or Capela. And that ain't winning you out West.

Gotta think Philly is a STRONG contender at this point.
Right. Why would he ever give up easier path to Finals?

Tragic Johnson (that is ironic in so many ways) had millions of dollars in the bank back in 1990, but was too stupid/lazy to buy and use a 75 cent condom.
It was likely his boyfriend that didn't wear the condom..

I am on record as saying I want Simmons or Tatum or unprotected picks from lousy teams, and if not, keep him.

So was LeBron heading to LA for meetings mere respect for LA?

Or was LeBron's team meeting with Philly mere respect?

    It's a Godfather movie.

Everyone trashing on LA's young assets. Add Lebron and any other complimenting big free agent and they are easily head to head with Rockets and above Spurs. It might take a year but with a little more experience that roster could do damage.

I truly hope that PATFO has made a list of deals -- each on one side of the line or the other.

So they just look at that black board no matter how desperate (or impaired) they are in the moment.

Spurs will have so many young players Pop will have to run actual practices, not just walk throughs and tape sessions.
“young players.” Nothing but role players and a project combo-guard and meaningless draft picks while getting owned in the trade. The fact that Spurs fans are getting excited about this is a new low.

Spurs fans excited about being an average team with no upside after they deal their franchise player.

I see him doing it. He's gonna be the leader of a young, long, athletic team, in the biggest possible market for him. The media marketing gurus already setting it up. He's going to be the new face of LA and push his business and political aspirations out of the stratosphere. Normal fans will eat it up and Lebron will have successfully navigated into the biggest business, entrepreneur, and philanthropist role after basketball he could possibly be in. Not everything revolves around basketball. He's thinking of the possible billions he can make at LA. Not to mention true bball fans see LA players actually have potential. Spurstalk posters are sometimes very irrational.

Also to note that the media was pushing stronger than ever to promote Lebron's legacy as the GOAT more than any previous year by a wide margin. Strategy was probably to set up a move to LA with no pressure of winning anymore. ESPN has been promoting it. I think it's a done deal.
