Let's try and get a good deal done with Philly.

Lakers and Celtics can get ed.

I don't see why Philadelphia wouldn't have a lot of incentive to do this. They can get one over on the Celtics and own the East for years to come. They can get the Celtics back for the 80s and take over the conference right now.
Too late for that. That window for a trade with Phil was open on draft night. That is when the Spurs needed to aggressively look to make a trade.

I would say that Mills and Leonard for Smith, Covington and Saric plus 1 sixers first and the heat first. I would prefer Ingram, Randal sign and trade, Kuz plus Lakers 2021 pick plus top 5 protected 1st from a lottery team that takes Lonzo, ie Magic or Knicks.

At this point I think Philly both help each other, not poke one another in the eye & settle down their demands with their good relationship with Brett Brown.

Philly knows they are not good enough to beat Boston also without a third superstar.

Kawhi & Mills for Fultz, Miami's 2021 1st rounder and Smith or Bolden/Luwawu-Cabarrot. This would give Philly a good shot to beat Boston to get to the finals next season that could convince Kawhi to re-sign there.

Brett Brown isn't coach Bud's dumbass trading for injured goods in Tiago ter. that haul is off the table now with Lebron and capsace open in laker land 2019. PATFO waited too long

I said it before and I'll say it again: DO NOT TRADE KAWHI. Play out the year, have him prove he's healthy, THEN offer him the supermax next summer. I GUARANTEE YOU he will NOT walk away from that.

Good news for the Eastern Conference this means any team 1-8 has a shot at the NBA Finals. LeBron made it to the NBA Finals in the East for 8 straight seasons it's over now.

LeBron is going to have a very hard time getting out of the 1st round in the West if the Lakers make the playoffs.

So MANY THINGS CAN CHANGE in a year. SO MANY. The relationship is bad now, but if he plays a full season with the Spurs and the team makes the WCF? He'll get over it. Time heals all wounds.

I'm not really interested in anything you've got to say, Newton. Dive on that loose ball next time, .

I mean Boston has the Eastern Conference locked up for the foreseeable future. I guess Philly can try and run it back again and hope Fultz pans out but getting a player like Leonard without giving up Simmons/Embiid seems a lot easier.

I'm pretty sure Philadelphia would have the best chance to make finals if all their major pieces on the team are healthy. I don't think the Lakers have anywhere near as good of a chance, so I don't know why Newton is saying there's no way he'd stay there. I'm pretty sure Kawhi would love it there, and if he gets year round trips to the finals, why would he want to go to the Lakers? The dumb LA fans don't even want to trade scrubs for him. The Philadelphia fans would appreciate him way more. If he's 100% healthy, he might end up being the best player on the court for them, but Embiid and Simmons will get all the media attention if Kawhi doesn't want it. It could be the perfect situation for him.

the Lakers and their gutter trash. Ainge needs to up his offer. I'd take Kyrie and Jaylen Brown at this point over the Lakers garbage.

damn your dip ass thought an offer like brown and kyrie was on the table, no wonder you sound bitter as

show kiwi this isn't acceptable bench him for the whole year

DIVE ON THAT ING LOOSE BALL. Shut the up.

I'm just not interested in listening to someone who won't dive on a loose ball when playing in a Superbowl. What kind of is that? That's worse than Durant going to the Warriors, that's worse than Kawhi wanting out, that's worse than Lebron going to the Lakers.

What kind of pussy wouldn't dive on a loose ball in the Superbowl? Get that weak ass out of here. I don't bend and break like you do.

Spurs lost a little leverage with Philly. If they still won't give Fultz I'd take Saric, Covington, Bolden, Philly 2021 1st, Miami 2021 1st. the Magic and the Lakers.

They lost a little leverage, but does Philadelphia want to play second fiddle to Boston all over again? It'd be like the 80s for them again where Boston dominates the conference.

thinking sixers will bail out spur fan when they wouldn't even make the trade before Lebron went to LA and made it obvious they are waiting for 2019

So the “last” piece of leverage is Randle. That is a MASSIVE question for Spurs I am sure. If LA re-signs Randle, especially for what the market appears to be on him (look at Gordon’s deal for ORL), then LA will not have max cap space next year to sign Kawhi even if they rid themselves of Deng somehow. So lets say Randle gets 18M a year & LA waives/stretches Deng & renounces all FA next year (while Keeping Lonzo/Ingram/Kuz/Hart) they would only have about 16M in cap space. If they can trade Deng w/no salary coming back they could get to about 22M. Still no where near Kawhi max.

No way in are they matching the Randle deal should one come. Want to maintain flexibility.

Though could match it with intention of trading it away mid-season to pick up another asset. Can’t trade him to team that signs offer sheet for a year though.
