Noel sucks...anyone who thinks otherwise has not really watched him play.

There is reason he couldn't even get playing time under Brown or Carlisle. Dude just doesn't give a .

His at ude is a problem but his numbers don't suggest he sucks and he's inly 24. Who's backing up Aldridge again?

My bad, top priority should be resigning Joffrey Laughverne for more money should be top priority.

Can’t hate. OKC making moves and he can play alongside Adams. LA I thought would be a good fit, but he chose OKC. Maybe because they signed McGee?
How he gonna play alongside Adams?
    Randle has better range tbh.
Not hating on OKC they are acquiring talent Im hating one some of the dumb descisions by Noel/Klutch Management in regards to Nerlens. Almost all of Maverick players get paid (tristan?) but some like Noel choose bad fits.
Oh, well ... God bless them. If helps russ great ...

So Gordon gets 4/84 (20M+ annually), Favors gets 2/36M (18M annually). Looking more and more like Randle’s range is at least 15M if not more.

This is getting so boring now.

Only way it can get worse is if they fold and really get cucked by the Lakers.

What are you talking about? Woj's report right before the trade request was that Kawhi was going to have to convey to Pop that he's committed long-term to the team before they offered a supermax. Seems like a pretty innocuous request to a that quit on them the previous season.

There were a lot of positive leaks saying the Spurs and Leonard were heading towards a reconciliation. The Spurs make a pretty simple statement through Woj and the group ing loses their again and demands a trade.

At this point, I highly doubt the front office is considering giving this piece of the keys to the franchise and frankly who can blame them.
Rather large commitment to agree to $200+ million to a 29 year old perimeter player who's had serious quad injuries and a habit of quitting when he doesn't feel like his family is being respected, or whatever the lame excuse is that day.

It sucks to lose a talent like that for little or nothing in return but the alternative could be worse if he's not able to get back to that level. The supermax is $40 mil on average a year. Time will tell.

Absolutely. None of what the Lakers have is 'spurs' material, if we want to use that term. I would not want any of what the Lakers have. This is why if the Spurs do this trade for the sake of making it, I will quit following this team. Period. There is no excuse to help Leonard or the Lakers. I do not think they will do this, but still will be very disappointed if they go that route.

The only way you make a deal with Los Angeles, is if you cripple them for years to come and clean them out in the process.

    A top 3 player doesn't have to...

And his camp knows that the Spurs won't offer that at any cir stances to anyone, that's what they asked for a trade.

We will see what happen to DJ when he asks for his max next offseason...
DJ is a natural leader. He'd be deserving it for the whole package...assuming his offensive game comes around of course.

You don't pay mutes the supermax, even if their play on the court warrants it. Leaders deserve supermax contracts. Players don't.

Two things come to mind here:

1.) For years, there has been a narrative of “Kawhi is a system player” (Durant), “The Spurs created Kawhi”, “The perfect Spur”, “The new Duncan”, etc. Mute Kawhi hasn’t done anything to break this narrative and now finally snapped and saw this as the way to break it.

2.) Ratings will be through the roof with yet another superteam and a historical powerhouse strong again. And heck, people may actually tune into the East now that a team other than the Lebrons will advance to the Finals. Plus, small market owners will be rolling in luxury tax dollars.

But there will be a point when small market fans feel like their teams no longer have a shot and ticket sales will suffer unless big names come to town + regional sports networks get crushed. The owners will try to take control back from the players and a lockout will ensue.

Looks like it's heading to a package of Ingram, Hart, and maybe a 1st rounder for Kawhi. I knew the Spurs would cave but any other scenario was farfetched.

What's there to be curious about?

Spurs tried to shut him down midway through the season. All the Kawhi coming back for the playoffs was all started by his camp, probably another attempt to salvage his image/rep for some reason at that point.

Just more specifics to what we already know. Kawhi wanted LA, created scapegoats and excuses to make it happen
