Cant really blame people for their stance these days. Public history books and media follow a false narrative. “Know your history” isn’t really easy. You have to sift through crap and discern what is real and what’s not.. I’m sure he would need more than a tweet to explain his stance, but regardless it is an inflammatory statement. I get it, he’s young and has an interest in more worldly topics and is passionate about it. You can’t fault him for that. I’m sure he has a reasonable explanation for his feelings on the subject, but he might want to think about expressing himself in a little bit more diplomatic manner....imho

Spurs need to step in and tell him to leave the political and social rants to Pop (I'm sure they did). No disrespect, but belittling July 4 is asking for the wrong kind of fireworks. If you think people consider the National Anthem to be symbolic of the military, imagine what will happen with controversial statements about the 4th of July. I'm not saying he can't have his opinions, I'm just saying that it's best if a teenager with his platform not engage in an argument that will be difficult to defend, easy to misconstrue, and ultimately as Colin can attest, career killing. Now the NBA isn't the NFL, it's a more liberal league, but it's still susceptible to a costly backlash over stuff like this, especially in this climate.

Fascism, socialism, communism, etc. all are based on and lead to collectivism. In all of them, we lose all of our rights and liberties based on “the greater good”. Make no mistake, Both parties are leading us down the same path.
