Spurs need to step in and tell him to leave the political and social rants to Pop (I'm sure they did). No disrespect, but belittling July 4 is asking for the wrong kind of fireworks. If you think people consider the National Anthem to be symbolic of the military, imagine what will happen with controversial statements about the 4th of July. I'm not saying he can't have his opinions, I'm just saying that it's best if a teenager with his platform not engage in an argument that will be difficult to defend, easy to misconstrue, and ultimately as Colin can attest, career killing. Now the NBA isn't the NFL, it's a more liberal league, but it's still susceptible to a costly backlash over stuff like this, especially in this climate.
