My model gives Anderson a 99.9% chance of providing equal or greater value on this contract with an expected range (+/- 2 standard deviations) of between $56.9M and $126.2M

I would rather sign Nikola and Metu or Livio get two players with some upside and fits with Kawhi leaving then Anderson who would be a decent player with Golden State or Houston as he wouldn’t need to shoot
Anderson doesn't impact the signing of the other guys unless you mean a roster spot

He would be matched using Bird Rights. Milutinov can be signed with either the rookie exception or a portion of the MLE. What's left after Marco might not be enough anyway.

Metu or LJC etc can be had for the minimum,

They could theoretically sign all of them all parties willing (including a 2 way for LJC)

The biggest issue is that if the Spurs hand him that contract, they're going to want to play him a lot, which would be ing disgusting.

This is the team's best chance to get back to what helped them get their second wind in 2012-2014: Getting rotation players to sign cheap second contracts. Yes, ideally, Kyle's either a four or a three playing next to a perimeter-oriented four (like Bertans or Ryan Anderson). He's not a great fit on a roster that will feature Gay and potentially Kawhi. He and Bertans playing with LMA and whatever All-Star the Spurs apparently have the ability to acquire may well be very good, though. They can make Kyle work if they make the right moves with him in mind.

    I'm ok with matching.
After all the deal is fine for his role on the team...and he's gonna make less money than Gay.
The contracts over what player's worth are Mills and Pau ones, but were given fo different reasons (Mills being underpaidn in past contracts and Pau showing trust in the Management when he renunced his guaranteed money for let the Spurs try to acquire a star).
For the people that say Kyle is poor fit with Murray 'cause lack of shooting, i say that Murray is spending the summer triyng to improve his shot (hope in same outcoming of Kiwhi) and that anyhow Kyle is a good fit with Alridge and his under rytmh style of play...he has obvious defensive and passing skills, he knows the system and his teammates love to play with him.
I also like the idea that Memphis has set not only his market value but also the kind of teams that are interested in signing him...so he could be a trade asset not a lot of time from today, considering he's just 24 (will be 28 at the end of his contract, alias in his full prime).

A good way to look at it. It’s really a 3 year / $28mm deal heading into next offseason, which will be moveable worst case. The only reason not to is if the Spurs plan on making a huge push in FA next year, which would also mean moving Mills and Gasol.

Now if they think they can replace him cheap then do it by all means.
Theres a trade kicker. Still think it's a good contract. Look what Warren got for example.

You have to match simplybcuz losing Kawhi, Parker, an Anderson is to much in one off-season. Say what you want about Anderson but his bbiq is very high. He don't do that's eye opening, nor anything sexy, but he does make smart plays. We gotta match!!!

If it was almost anyone else, yes it makes sense to match, but better players than Kyle can be found very cheap. Including the minimum!

Especially in a market that's about to dry up dramatically.

I just don't like any kind of commitment to a player who is so weak in certain areas that winning basketball in today's environment becomes way too complicated with him on the floor.

Sure the contract could be moved one day, but maybe it won't be and that's a bad thing.

    Get rid!

Not sure if already discussed, but in case the Spurs lose Kyle Anderson, who in the remaining Free Agent pool could be had realistically?

Spurs may have to match. Spurs value 'corporate knowledge'. That's why they signed Mills and kept Manu. That's why they signed Belinelli.

    With this roster:

    The Roster:
    LMA, Gasol
    Gay,
    Green, Belinelli, White, Walker, Paul
    DJ, Mills

Mills was signed because he's the 'glue guy'. You need more 'glue guys' in this team, Anderson is the other one.

Green is a glue guy but he doesn't know what to do in the court.

White has potential to be a leader but he's too young.

Gasol wants to be a leader, but I don't think he relates well with the other players.

LMA, Gay, DJ are more like Tony Parker types, more selfish than leaders.

Kawhi.... it's obvious now to everyone that he can never be a leader. Honestly, Kawhi fits perfect with the way Spurs do things. His family however is the big problem.

I don't think Spurs will make the playoffs with just Mills as the glue guy.

Then again if they don't match it might mean they take some crap like Ingram for Leonard, and I'd much rather match Anderson than take that kind of in return.
Anderson better than Ingram? That's hot

So basically the Grizzlies are the most incompetent franchise in the NBA.

They paid $153M to a complimentary player coming off a mediocre season and missing the last 2 months of the season because of injury.
They paid $94M to a injured roleplayer coming off a mediocre season.
They just got through paying 3 years $21M to Brandan Wright, an injury prone lob guy with no skillset. A type of player you can find in the G-League for cheap.
They paid 3 years $15M to Ben McLemore who was never good and may not even be a rotation player on this ty roster next season. Serious what does McLemore actually do?
Now they're trying to pay $37M to a guy who can't score or shoot and isn't even an elite defender.

I swear that the Grizzlies are so dumb that if they had enough capspace they would gladly play Marcus Smart the $16M a year that he's asking for.

90% of Kyle's offensive game is hoping his defender is dumb enough to fall for his pump fake...he's hesitant to shoot because he knows it's probably not ing going in, not because he's such a pass first guy tbh
So that’s why he shoots over 50%...

"If Kyle could shoot at a high level he would be a Paul George comparable" - SaGirl

"and that's an MVP player... you can't expect to get that for 9 mill a season tbh" - SaGirl

    LOL!!!!!

please take note of how player fandom, mental re ation and crack rock, impact simple minded people.
