Doubtful, but it might have made the decision a bit easier for Tony. Hegets to play for Jordan with his countryman Batum and he doesn't have to put up any more bull about Kawhi. He was dead-on right in his comments of course and was truthful as usual.

ing legend!
That's dope![]()
Couldn't find a video but going way back one of my favorite memories is TP with a teardrop between Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Bradley for a game winner back in '03 against the Mavs. Nowitzki and Bradley collided with each other and ended up on the floor. yeah. Merci TP.
That was the moment I became a Spurs fan. Such a great game and ballsy finish. Good call
True Spurs Legend! And the end of an eraThere will no other player trio like the Big Three even again.
Got to read the part about Tony and Tim hang out at Tim's ranch 2 weeks ago..
'I will come back to San Antonio and hang out with Tim.."
I think I found what you're talking about man. It should start on the 02:22 mark
Thanks for posting. Beautiful tweet by Drob. Glad to see they mates that still hang out. Will always remember the moments in 03 championship where Manu and Tony were all over David during celebrations.
A part of me hoping, moreso dreaming that Kawhi takes note. This is what you saying goodbye to. Was uncle worth it.

It will definitely be weird to see TP in another uniform, I thought he would be a Spur till the end but the times they are a-changin'...
I hope the Spurs sign him toward the end of his career so that he can retire as a Spur. Looking forward to the jersey retirement and HoF induction ceremonies!
Great Pic... But man Beadle is even less attractive without the ESPN's hair and makeup team...
TONY probably would have banged the out of her if she was worth it my guess she wouldn't even make his top 100.
TP WAS A FEARED player by the Lakers in his prime... Everyone remembers the 2004 Lakers/Spurs for 0.4... But the sad moment for me was watching TP torch my defensive idol GP the "glove" so bad GP Pjax and Shaq bickered publicly on how to best defend him after he destroyed us in games 1&2.
Dude was almost unstoppable 1 on 1
I preferred Manu but Tony was a beast too.

Murray said his lasting TP memory will be the night Parker blew his quad tendon vs. Houston in the 2017 postseason. The two sat in the locker room for an hour after the game talking. Parker, knowing his playoffs were over, wanted to make sure Murray was prepared.
Really expected Tony would be a Spurs lifer, but he has to do what is best for himself.
He said he wanted to play 20 seasons and, to his credit, he's doing what it takes to get there. He still has time to put more money in his pocket, and feels like he is worth more than the vet min and a mentor role. Whether that is true or not...you can't fault the guy for going out to get his.
Props to Tony for recognizing that the Spurs are, for the first time in ~30 years, looking at a rebuild. They need to focus on the future, which includes guys like Murray, White, and Walker. They simply didn't have the money or playing time to let Tony ease his way into the sunset.
Here is hoping Parker comes back for a vet min when he is ready to take on mentorship, and can truly retire as a Spur. Either way, I have no doubt his jersey will be hanging in the AT&T rafters some day.
Thanks for the memories, TP!
Good post.
