doubtful tbh...kawhi will just find a doctor to say he's not cleared and sit out
No. The Spurs LET him do that last year to keep the peace and try to mend things. It’s war now. The Spurs can get a league eval, and if he’s cleared, he has to play, or lose game checks. If he sits more than 30days, he loses FA next summer, and has to play under this year’s contract. He does have the option to retire, but he gets no money this year, and will have no options for Bird rights. The most he could sign for would be 4/139.

    Got it. Thanks.

Man he must be pissed off to the highest degree of pisstivity to leave that kind of loot on the table to get out of the 210.
I doubt he and his camp thought that was a possibility when scheming all this farse. I bet they thought the Spurs would just cave in and trade him to wherever they wanted in a second. That's what happens when you have amateurs managing you.

Get the dulytek. Its 400 bucks. No solvents needed. No butane so you wont blow yourself up. Its easy. Heat and pressure is all it takes. you can do it with a decent flat hair iron.
Holy ! This is some industrial ! I saw a video of a dude pressing almonds and got oil in 20 seconds.

Holy cow look at this passage out of Philly

And CP3 strongly considered the Spurs. Lebron knew where he was going at the start of the season but it's cute Philly thought they had a chance.

That is not the relevant part; the part I quoted was. It was very obvious they were talking about Kawhi. The interest is real.

I hope this got does withdraw. It would be our luck he would tear up a knee or reinjure that quad forcing him to miss half the season and us trading him at the trade dead line for nothing.

Kawhi likely signs a 2+1 deal if he leaves the Spurs after this year or even if he resigns with the Spurs and doesn’t qualify for the Supermax. That would give him FA again after his tenth year, when he can take a bigger deal at 35% of the cap instead of 30%.

So basically the equivalent of the Supermax. Say the cap is $109 million in 2019-20. A supermax with Bird raises (8%) vs. a two year deal + opt out and sign a max deal (35%) with non-Bird extensions (5%) when the cap is projected to be $121 million (11% higher) would be:

    Supermax 2+opt out and sign
    Year 1 $38.2mm $32.7mm (or $5.5mm less)
    Year 2 $41.2mm $34.3mm ($12.4mm less ulatively)
    Year 3 $44.2mm $42.4mm ($14.2mm less ulatively)
    Year 4 $47.3mm $44.5mm ($17.0mm less ulatively)
    Year 5 $50.4mm $46.6mm ($20.8mm less ulatively)
    Total $221.3mm $200.5mm

This is purely about maximizing money. The difference isn’t $40 million like some people are claiming it is assuming he’s good enough and healthy enough to get maxed out. The money isn’t that different and this is the math his group is doing. And knowing what we do, he IS healthy.

If he’s not going to be healthy enough for a max deal, then signing the longest deal possible makes the most sense.

(I know numbers don’t tie out 100% but doing this on my phone)

If he’s traded somewhere and they get his Bird Rights, he probably also does a 2+1 and gets larger annual raises and eats into the $21mm difference.

Of course the interest is real. The thing is knowing what they consider a "prohibitive cost".

I would love for this to happen but Impact Sports has resources. They still probably have some tricks up their sleeve.
Impact sports is one football agent working out of the trunk of his car, and Uncle Dennis and Moms on the payroll. I guarantee you that PATFO aren’t losing any sleep over their next move.

He has to play at least 30 games..

If he doesn’t he can’t become a free agent unless Spurs grant it...

I’m pretty sure that’s like 75% of the rule lol
He has to play a lot more than that. If he misses 30 DAYS of teams activity, his contract rolls over to next season.

They don't even have the resources to make a website.

I'm guessing Kawhi signing a free agent deal in LA for $40M less than they could have paid him will be the agency's big coming out moment. lmao

Impact sports is the rough equivalent of taco's corporation from the league. Maybe uncle dennis is banking on an endorsement from e.b.d.b prime think its going to be bigger than amazon. Thats how stupid this functionally re ed bank teller is.
