It's really quick, no work at all. Just don't roast in the house if your spouse hates the smell of coffee.
Wow, you guys must be serious coffee drinkers - roasting your own beans. Where do you find the time? I don't even want to grind - too loud and messy.
It's really quick, no work at all. Just don't roast in the house if your spouse hates the smell of coffee.
Erotic coffee
That's a cry for help.
Don't get desperate, cuck.
if I was desperate I wouldn't hit up some kid in cali working late night retail for money.
You said something re ed. I shut you down. It was pretty easy.
Poor derp
Low income Derp back off real quick![]()
lot of bars in Austin have stopped putting straws in tails... you have to ask for them now
So you have to drink from the side of the bar glass?
Ehhh
Bill Miller Restaurants have replaced metal utensils with plastic
me at the bar tbh
I'm surprised they waited this long. Most of it is finger food any way.
I vaguely recall them using cloth napkins
yep, used to be cloth wrapping the metal utensils, now it's paper napkins around plastic utensils, and coarse brown paper towels, same as Fudruckers.
the families of Bill Miller, like Jim's, seem to be milking the restaurants to the max, minimum maintenance, costs cut to the bone.
I've been in a couple of Jim's where the carpet was less than thread-bare.

Oh wow, I completely forgot about Jims...probably because there was nothing great about it. Their counterpart in Northern Cali is an equally mediocre chain called Perko's.
I do have Bill Millers on my list for when I touch down in Texas at the end of the month.
I wouldn't do that tbh
It's fallen off that much, huh? I hope Scholtzskys hasn't become zsky's too. I'm jonesin for an Original.
I guess it depends on how long you're in Texas for. If it's a short time I'd get some real bbq that's done on site.
I love schlotzkys
I'm gonna be there for 8 days, we were thinking of going for lunch. Personally, I want an Ice Tea and a chopped BBQ sammich. Don't care what's in them, it's like eating off the countless taco trucks here...don't ask, don't tell and never gotten sick off them.
For real BBQ, my old man is an Ace. Makes his own dry rub and will fist fight anyone who uses lighter fluid in his pits, that's going to be for homecoming.
And yes, Schlotzky's is friggin bomb. I'm going to gain a few pounds eating in Texas...will probably sweat that off with how hot and humid it is down there.
Any new joints that have opened in the last 5 years that I might need to try?
Yeah i get it. When I lived in Lubbock I was missing the poor boy, tea and hash browns a lot.
Just more and more chain restaurants opening up. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that's authentic SA and been open less than 5 years.
If you like gorditas, there is one place I've stumbled on that that's all they do is gorditas called Dona Tota. Good stuff.
It's the same as it has always been, at least the one by me. People like to on Bill Miller but for a fast food joint it's pretty good.
If there was one franchise you could take out here to California from back home, it'd be Bill Miller. It'd be fat cash stacks here. Cheap BBQ doesn't exist out here, the cheapest would be ie's and it's about $15 per person and s is broke out here.
Bill Miller still has excellent ice tea and the food is fine. Don't listen to Blake (ever)
If you're going to be any where near Blanco at any point try Redbud cafe. Blanco burger or Axis burger, can't go wrong with either or just get both. We call it Romney/Ryan cafe, if you go you'll know why.
