He'll be fine, but here's hoping the Air Canada center doesn't dry the ice completely and we see an achilles tear for the nephew next year tbh

Is there anything to stop Toronto from turning around and trading Mute for whatever scraps they can get from Magic?

I think they would have to wait something like 60 days. They'd almost certainly have to take Deng's contract.

Thinking they could make up 80 millions living in LA under Lebron shadow with a client having the personality of an old running shoe..

As long as Uncle Dennis ends up in Canadian prison getting his daily "back bacon" from some Alberta cowboy, I'm cool with it.

Y'know he'll be getting a little "poutine" on the side in that lock-up. Might have to change his name to Aunt Dennis!

Unless he doesn't get another contract after a 4 year max then he doesn't lose $80M it'll be more like $40M. Which is still a lot and I think there are ways he can maximize his earnings even more but signing a short term deal (2+1) then a long term deal. Still a risky move.

Woj and Chris Haynes both report that Leonard will be in camp and will play. While not thrilled with the trade he is warming up to playing for a contender in Toronto. Woj also said that Leonard still wants LA next season so it's up to the Raps to recruit/pitch him to stay like OKC/George. Leonard is still considering going to USA mini camp too.

Masai Ujiri is expected back in Toronto tomorrow and the press conference is on Friday. One of the reporters who cover the Raptors said Leonard is going to be there.

Not saying Sean Deveney didn't hear what he heard but I think that was someone stirring the pot. I'll trust Woj and Haynes over this Sporting News thing.

There’s a possibility Kawhi still plays this season and actually regains his FMVP form if he spends time meticulously rehabbing that quad. No use getting angry at the player when it’s clear the uncle is the one that caused all this mess. Pachulia deserves our ire too and I would gladly sign a 10-day to wreck his ankles and land a haymaker on his ugly ass face.

More curious as to other stories about the awful uncle. Michael Wright and Chris Sheridan mentioned they have more intel than they were willing to share before the trade. One of them probably would be the fact his uncle requested a position in the front office as previously intimated.

And what about Jabari’s cred? Said on the podcast the Toronto trade is ridiculous and wouldn’t make sense for both sides. I’ll be damned if anyone actually buys his takes from here on. Price you pay for being a mouthpiece.

Good, we want Toronto to be a top 10 team so we can get that pick.

It'd be pretty sweet for Kawhi to not play and for Pop and Co. to win gold without him.

OP is my , but damn

The only one that will crash and burn in this fairy tale will be RC Buford. The drunk created rosters that were first round fodder in the years before Kawhi got here and that's what he will do from here on out. The got got lucky Toronto took Valenciunas off the board when the Spurs/Pacers drafted Kawhi, because that was his guy. Leave it to Alpha GM Ujiri to end up with Kawhi anyways

Truth bomb, tbh. He is essentially Gregg Popovich's glorified secretary. I've been saying it for years.
