PWNAGE!
Easy, they can do the same thing that the Dems did to Kavanaugh. Bring out allegations that are non-verifiable en mass and try to damage and destroy the reputation of the nominee. The Garland nomination was par for the course when the President didn't have a majority in the Senate. That's the cost of elections. And if the Republicans run out of time to get Kavanaugh or another candidate confirmed and the Dems take over the Senate, do you think the Dems are going to give any Trump nominee a hearing? But that's par for the course. Character assassination isn't. That was their strategy to take down Kavanaugh. If you step away from the bias, you'll see that it was orchestrated to do exactly what happened. If you think destroying someone's reputation (whether they get on the bench or not) is better than just not doing a vote because the other part has control of the senate, I guess we just disagree. I can't image what it's like to have every TV and the internet full of people claiming that you were a gang rapist, etc. Again, that may be no big thing to you, but I think most people would consider that to be worse.
PWNAGE!
What a load of horse . The Garland nomination was Obama compromising with someone Orrin Hatch once claimed could easily be confirmed even after the teabagger wave. That would have been par for the course, like when the Democrats shot down a hard-right Bork but confirmed a center-right Kennedy later. There is no way getting a one week delay in a vote is worse than never getting one. You're delusional.

Dijon reduced to being a poor man's hater.
What? Obama knew he could not nominate a far left person because he had to get his nominee through a Republican-controlled Senate that he lost in the midterms. He tried to get Garland, a Democrat, but not a far left liberal, confirmed. Obama wasn't compromising, he was doing the only thing he could do under the cir stances. And the GOP took a big risk that Trump would win when it looked like he would lose by a significant margin.
Your missing my point if you think the tough part is delaying a confirmation vote for a week. Garland doesn't have to explain to his wife and his children and his friends and everyone he knows and doesn't know in the world that he is not a gang rapist and that he didn't organize parties and e punch and organize men to line up and gang rape woman. I'm sure that Garland is happy that he was not accused (without any evidences/just naked allegations) of horrendous acts that lowered hurt his reputation that he has worked long and hard to build up. If Kavanaugh is confirmed, he will be the Supreme Court Justice that half the country, which appears to include you, assumes (with no evidence) he tried to rape Ford and that he was a gang rapist.
Since the USSC isn't a popularity contest, why does this matter? They don't run for election.
Asserly kept bailing out Kavanagh. Asserly was hardly bipartisan here:
What a little en led he is![]()
DMC reduced to this
What people don't get is that it matters very little. Republicans don't care what the country thinks of the nominee, they care what Republicans that will vote for them and independents that lean right think. Most people only casually read the news, so they think he's raped like 5 girls. They don't know the facts. So they make these assumptions. But once Kavanaugh gets confirmed, if that happens, and in January the Dems try to impeach him, that will poll low too because voters will have forgotten all this, especially in the Trump era where major news stories happen every three days.
So you're saying Hillary Clinton and Democrats just made everything up with Ford. And Garland absolutely was a compromise for Obama the same way Kennedy was for Reagan when he couldn't get the guy he really wanted through the Democratic senate.
And no, I don't assume he tried to rape Ford. I don't know. But he sounded like a liar when questioned about his drinking. My opposition to Kavanaugh is because he's a hard right Republican rubber stamp who has no business being on the supreme court. A Kavanaugh confirmation is a step towards remaking the court in the image of our completely broken congress. LOL his go to still being to blame the Clintons for everything even after his Vince Foster conspiracy theories went nowhere.
Not adhearing to his diabetes healthy eating plan. 's yellower than a mango.
I am pretty sure they go by the date the crime is being prosecuted - 2018. Felony.
wouldn't really call that a reduction
I’m not saying that at all. Im saying DEMs (not Hillary) exploited Ford’s situation in an unethical way. They published and politicized stuff Ford asked them not to do so it could create a circus where other apparently false allegations could be made.
