K being a sexual abuser of women is, for the Repugs, a positive, not a negative.

White, male supremacist Repugs want K rather than some other right wing

    because with K affirmed,

they are telling all females, #MeToo, femiNazis,

to shut the up and sit the down. We white guys can and will continue to abuse you es.

failing to get a promotion on the basis of a bad interview isn't equivalent to a summary lynching.
When the entire world is told you sexually harassed your coworker from your previous employer because some random person you don't recall ever meeting says they vaguely recall the place of employment, can't get back there, no one there remembers them, and they just happen to be friends with the person competing with you for the job.... that's a bit different than that poor analogy you made.

I mean, sexual harassment is serious! The question deserves to be asked

    Whomever calls victim first wins.

Do you believe the allegations against Harvey Weinstein?
There are some that I don't believe, some I do. It's not that I don't believe he had sex with some of them, but that I don't believe it was unwelcomed at the time. It's unwelcomed now because they didn't get out of it what they thought they did, or they are bus jumping, or they are ashamed that they weren't Harvey's one and only side squeeze. So sure, some. Thing is, there wasn't nearly as much partisanship where every democrat says "guilty" and every republican says "innocent". It reeks of politics.

I think every nominee should have a thorough background check from all parts of our government agencies. I have to undergo as much just to get a CHL.

When you interviewed for a common job or a job - the bar is really low so I am not surprised that you have never been part of a rigorous process.
Rigorous process != submitting to partisan digging into your life where every other politician has more leaks than a colander. If there was some privacy involved and just a yes or no decision, that's fine, but they aren't even looking for the Dr Blasey Ford issue as much as anything else they can dig up to delay or nullify this selection.
Let us stay relevant to THIS situation; Three women have made credible accusations. This hearing was mainly addressing ONE of those women.
Stop calling things "credible" when they are not supported by evidence or corroborated by witnesses.
He was under the gun - fair or not.
    No he wasn't.
    He could have
    a) withdrawn from the process - just to not put himself and his family through it
    b) be 100% transparent and offered to remove the mystery by allowing for the fbi/polygraph/etc to clear his good name and get that SC Justice seat with no questions - no clouds over his nomination
    c) continue the cover up and dissemble, obfuscate, lie, deny and still not be open and transparent.
No one on the panel interviewing him is 100% transparent. Not even close. If it wasn't a kangaroo court with the verdict pre-decided by social media, you might have a point, but you don't.

Wow! Just starting to hear the Democrats, who are only thinking Obstruct and Delay, are starting to put out the word that the “time” and “scope” of FBI looking into Judge Kavanaugh and witnesses is not enough. o! For them, it will never be enough - stay tuned and watch!

James Comey: The F.B.I. Can Do This

Despite limitations and partisan attacks, the bureau can find out a lot about the Kavanaugh accusations in a week.

We live in a world where

the president routinely attacks the F.B.I. because he fears its work.

He calls for his enemies to be prosecuted and his friends freed.

We also live in a world where a sitting federal judge channels the president

by shouting attacks at the Senate committee considering his nomination and

demanding to know if a respected senator has ever passed out from drinking.

We live in a world where the president is an accused serial abuser of women,

who was caught on tape bragging about his ability to assault women and

now likens the accusations against his nominee to the many “false” accusations against him.

Most disturbingly, we live in a world where millions of Republicans and their representatives think nearly everything in the previous paragraph is O.K.

If truth were the only goal
    ,

there would be no clock, and the investigation wouldn’t have been sought after the Senate Judiciary Committee already endorsed the nominee.

    Instead,

it seems that the Republican goal is to be able to say there was an investigation and it didn’t change their view,

while the Democrats hope for incriminating evidence to derail the nominee.

Although the process is deeply flawed, and apparently designed to thwart the fact-gathering process, the F.B.I. is up for this. It’s not as hard as Republicans hope it will be.

Once they start interviewing, every witness knows the consequences.

It is one thing to have your lawyer submit a statement on your behalf.

It is a very different thing to sit across from two F.B.I. special agents and answer their relentless questions.

Of course, the bureau won’t have subpoena power, only the ability to knock on doors and ask questions.

But most people will speak to them.

Refusal to do so is its own kind of statement.

Deborah Ramirez Has Given The FBI A List Of Witnesses To Back Up Kavanaugh Sexual Assault Allegation

The second woman to accuse Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, Deborah Ramirez, has provided the FBI with a list of witnesses that support her accusation.

    CNN reported:

Ramirez accused Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her at a party when he was a freshman at Yale, according to an account published in The New Yorker. Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegation.

In an interview with the magazine, Ramirez said that she realized if she ever did speak with agents for the FBI, she knew she would be questioned about some lapses in her memory, her drinking at the party and her motivation for coming forward.

The source said Ramirez supplied the FBI on Sunday with the names of witnesses.

There is much more at stake besides a Supreme Court nomination.

We are at a critical moment in American cultural history.

America as a nation can send a message to women and men who are sexually assaulted that they can come forward.

    They will be believed.

Their stories will be taken seriously and perpetrators will be held accountable.

By sticking with Brett Kavanaugh, Republicans have already lost.

The GOP had a moral choice to make and they chose wrong.

Feinstein unearths another Kavanaugh lie, proving that he has no respect for the rule of law

    another critical lie, in which

Kavanaugh lied to senators about having violated secrecy laws governing grand juries during the Starr investigation of President Bill Clinton.

"According to a memo from the National Archives, Brett Kavanaugh instructed Hickman Ewing, a colleague and deputy counsel in the Starr investigation, to 'call [Chris] Ruddy' about matters before a grand jury, which would be illegal to disclose,"

Feinstein said in a statement to POLITICO.

"I asked Judge Kavanaugh in questions for the record whether he had shared 'information learned through grand jury proceedings.'

His answer, which says that he acted 'consistent with the law,' conflicts with the official memo from Mr. Ewing.

Disclosing grand jury information is against the law and would be troubling for any lawyer, especially one applying for a promotion to the highest court in the country.”

Chris Ruddy was then a reporter for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, where he trafficked in conspiracy theories about the suicide of Vince Foster and the Clintons involvement in it.

Ruddy is now a great friend of Trump, one of his Mar-a-Lago hangers-on, and

    also CEO of Newsmax.

Bernie Sanders just demanded the FBI investigate five lies Kavanaugh told at his hearing

Pointing out that giving false statements to Congress violates federal criminal statutes,

Senator Sanders pointed out five different times that

Kavanaugh said something that he wants the FBI to determine the veracity of.

The first statement that the Senator wants to see probed is the claim that Kavanaugh knew nothing about the files stolen from Democratic Judiciary Committee members by Republican staffers during the Bush administration.

Emails from the time show that the do ents, one of which contained the subject line “spying,” were shared with the nominee at the time when he was a White House lawyer, begging the credibility of his denials that he knew that the do ents were purloined.

The second instance was from a statement that Kavanaugh made to Congress in 2006 when he said that did not know anything about the Bush administration’s warrantless wiretapping program until after accounts appeared in the press. Senator Sanders points to a recently unveiled email that indicates he may have been involved in conversations about the program prior to its disclosure in the media.

The third potentially false assertion during congressional testimony by Kavanaugh took place in 2004 when he said that William Pryor’s nomination to the 11th Circuit Court “was not one that I worked on personally,” another statement that has been refuted by subsequently released do ents.

Again in 2006, Kavanaugh testified that “I was not involved and am not involved in the questions about the rules governing detention of combatants,” a statement that is also contradicted by new evidence, making it the fourth potential instance of perjury that Sanders wants to be investigated.

The fifth question that the Vermont senator wants the FBI to ask Kavanaugh about is the incongruity between his testimony before the Judiciary Committee that he does not believe that polygraph tests are reliable and his opinion in his judicial ruling in Sack vs U.S. Department of Defense where he wrote:

“As the Government notes, law enforcement agencies use polygraphs to test the credibility of witnesses and criminal defendants. Those agencies also use polygraphs to ‘screen applicants for security clearances so that they may be deemed suitable for work in critical law enforcement, defense, and intelligence collection roles.’ … The Government has satisfactorily explained how polygraph examinations serve law enforcement purposes.”

In his letter to Senator Grassley,

Senator Sanders also cites four additional statements that Kavanaugh made in response to the sexual assault allegations

made against him as necessary to be investigated before any confirmation vote is taken up on the Senate floor.

it wasn't an analogy. Senate confirmation is a job interview.

Due process and standards of proof don't apply, Senators vote their conscience.

They will talk to them. Sometimes it is best to talk to them last - after other witnesses paint a picture of the alleged crime and then see if they can find inconsistencies. I hope they interview rapey brett last and i hope it is two female fbi agents that do it.

Fox News judge goes off on ‘adolescent’ Dr. Ford with ’emotional and psychological problems’

Former US Attorney Joseph diGenova went after Ford personally, attacking her as immature, damaged and either dumb or a liar.

“Quite frankly, her testimony the other day was far from credible,” he began. She’s a very, very disturbed woman with clear emotional and psychological problems. This is a 55-year-old adult who testified like an adolescent. Not a single corroborating detail.”

“That means she’s either dumb as a post or she lied to the committee under oath,” he continued. “I think Christine Ford is a very sad woman and not a thing that she said should be believed and none of it has corroborated.”

“She may very well believe that something happened to her, but none of it relates to Brett Kavanaugh, and she presented no evidence other than her stark raving testimony that it was he,”
