The New York Times Preparing Hit Piece On Brett Kavanaugh For Party Planning
    https://thefederalist.com/2018/10/02...arty-planning/
Is it a hit piece when it's something RapeyK is on the record saying? They posted a letter he wrote about being obnoxious and loud. Gives credence to his drunken behavior.

So, is it a hit piece or is it factual? Normally hit pieces are fabricated lies.

Gotta say this has just been a dominating performance by Republicans, with special help from Democrats. They're going to appoint one of the lowest-polled SCOTUS nominees in history because they've managed (again, with the enablement of the Democrats) to completely drive the conversation in their favor.

Kavanaugh's qualification for a lifetime appointment to the United States Supreme Court hinges exclusively on the ability of the FBI to prove a claim against him from 36 years ago, to say nothing of convincing Republicans that it matters at all. It's not about the fact that almost all of his records are hidden. It's not about him being hyper-partisan or loyal to the executive. It's not even about him being an emotionally unstable conspiracy theorist with a spoken grudge against "the Left."

This is like interviewing someone for a top executive position at your company, ignoring qualifications and character flaws, and guaranteeing him the job if he simply passes a drug test.

, they've even let Republicans hang "obstructionist" on them by pretending Merrick Garland didn't happen.

Just an absolutely abysmal performance. The only hope for redemption is if this somehow drives a higher voter turnout for Democrats, though I can't imagine it's going to do that any moreso than it drives Republican voters as well.

Weird thing to think about from you. Weird and obssesive imagery.

Wouldn't surprised me one bit if you did some burlesque draggy queen stuff behind closed doors. You seem to know a lot about it.

Except that the biggest snowflakes are Trump and his angry white men.

Being born in the USA on third base - makes it really hard to live and every brown or black or gay or tranny or immigrant person just has so many advantages over your snowflake sissy asses
So a tranny or Gay person cannot be born in the USA on third base? How do you explain half of Hollywood?

Yawn. Kavanaugh was a judge on the DC Court of Appeals. That's the second most important court in the country. He got rave reviews for his time there from both sides of the aisle. He didn't all of a sudden become unfit for a judge because Trump nominated him. He's every bit qualified to sit on the bench (so was Garland). All this stuff you raise is just boilerplate DEM talking points to try and keep him off the bench of the high court mostly because the high court, unlike the lower appellate courts, has become too political.

You can believe what you want about the allegations over the last few weeks, but if he can excel as a judge at the DC Court of Appeals, he'll be just fine on the US Supreme Court (except for the permanent damage to his reputation based on unsubstantiated allegations).

I do agree that the Dems screwed this one up in some ways. If they handled the Ford allegations in private, I bet Trump would have withdrew Kavanaugh. It's a fight not worth having when he can nominate a woman that is way more conservative than Kavanaugh. But because the Dems made it look like a hit job by how they handled it and the timing of when they did it, they left no choice for the GOP and Trump to go all in on this guy.

    lol no

Considering all the other stuff of Kavanaugh's that suddenly became Top Secret, there is no way they would have withdrawn his nomination.

The only stain that I see against Kavanaugh is the Ford allegation. It's enough that if it was brought to the GOP in July and they had a chance to talk to Ford in July/August, I'd bet there would have been a new nomination. There would have been time. But now there is no time so GOP is all in on Kavanaugh.

Don't worry though, what goes around, comes around. Pres. Avenatti will probably pick the next 3 supreme court justices.

What about his lying under oath about a host of things?

What about his own classmates coming out directly disputing the fact that he's a choir non drinking boy?

This is why people call you partisan and hack. You make it real easy and come off terribly one sided.

Usually it's not good to make assumptions without evidence, but with Trump, it's usually pretty safe to assume things like his tax records show all kinds of stuff.
IRS was malleable by richies back then, now the Repugs have cut $100Ms from IRS budget of the past several years, so not enough examiners, not enough enforcers

Flake, Murkowski, and Collins Will Decide Kavanaugh’s Fate. So Why Are Outside Groups Targeting These Other Six Senators?

it’s noteworthy that Flake, Murkowski, and Collins aren’t the only senators being targeted by heavy-spending outside groups pressuring them to vote one way or the other on Kavanaugh.

A half-dozen other senators have also found themselves the subject of at least one big-dollar ad blitz announced in the past two days alone.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which is opposing Kavanaugh,
unveiled a $1 million campaign on Monday with a target list that includes

Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and

Republicans S ey Moore Capito of West Virginia,

    Cory Gardner of Colorado,

    Deb Fischer of Nebraska, and

    Dan Sullivan of Alaska.

, the conservative Judicial Crisis Network, which has
reportedly already spent more than $10 million supporting Kavanaugh, announced its own plan for another $400,000 in advertising to keep the pressure on

    Manchin and

fellow red-state Democrat Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota,
